Problems using TE412P and TDM400B in a IBM x3650
Another day, another apparant unexplained hardware incompatibility.
I have a TE412P and a TDM400B living quite happily in a whitebox using an
Intel motherboard:

I tried to move to an IBM x3650 system. It uses a slightly newer chipset,

problem with xen on IBM x3650
Hi,
I have a debian etch/xen installation on a IBM x3650 with a default
xend-config.sxp. After running the network-bridge script, I can''t reach
the network. It works if I use a configuration like the one mentionned
on this site but I don''t think it''s clean:

Installing Xen4.0.1 on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS issues (VGA crashes at boot-up)
Hey Guys !
I am trying to install Xen 4.0.1 on Ubuntu 10.04 LTS on a 64-bit machine.
Basically the issue that I am facing is that when I try to boot up my
Domain0, my video display driver crashes and the system simply hangs.
I am using an Intel graphics card:
$ lspci -v | grep VGA
00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 4 Series Chipset
Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)

Unable to start xend
Hi,
I''m trying to install Xen on Ubuntu 11.04. I read somewhere (please
correct me if this is wrong) that Ubuntu hasn''t had dom0 support since 8.04
LTS, and the recommended action was to grab a dom0-enabled kernel from
Debian, so I did. I''m running 2.6.32-5-xen-amd64 and built Xen 4.1.1 from
source. After installation and some troubleshooting, I tried to start

Samba 4.1.6 on Ubuntu for IBM Power 8 has a bug?
I'm running Samba 4.1.6 with Ubuntu 14.04.1 LTS Little Endian on a Power 8
box. As I said in a previous post, I can't mount any share from machine.
I tried the same configuration with Samba 4.1.11 on Ubuntu 14.10 Little
Endian on Power 8, and it works fine.
I'm probabily wrong, but is there a bug in the binary distribution of Samba
on Ubuntu 14.04.01 Little Endian, maybe

ogg.m4 in vorbis/m4 ?
Hi,
I've (just now) been playing with a buildbot, building ogg, vorbis,
speex, and theora, using a non-standard prefix on a pretty bare debian
image. I noticed that vorbis was failing during configure while theora
wasn't.
I tracked it down to the location of ogg.m4. There is a copy of ogg.m4
in theora/m4, but there is not one in vorbis/m4. This means that if
you have libogg installed

ogg.m4 and vorbis.m4
Greetings everyone.
I have 2 quick questions about ao/ao.m4, ogg/ogg.m4, and vorbis/vorbis.m4.
1. Is there any reason that the macros are named AM_PATH_AO, AM_PATH_OGG,
and AM_PATH_VORBIS? Can we change them to something else?
I ran into a problem when trying to add support for ogg/vorbis into a
package today:
Automake assumes that anything beginning with AM_ belongs to automake --
