networking issues - internet facing guest interfaces
I have the following networking setup: - eth0 and eth1 corresponding to the physical ports on the host NIC - bond0 which enslaves eth0 + eth1 - br0 which attaches bond0 - xenbr0 - xenbr5 all of which are internal only networks (10.0.0.0; 10.1.1.0; etc) Br0 is used both for the host to access the outside world as well as DomUs acting as gateway machines for each xenbr network. how to enable dom0 and domu share same physical network...
Hi, I have two physical machines connected through a switch in a 192.168.1.* subnet. Dom0''s are assigned static ip addresses 192.168.1.100, 192.168.1.101 respectively. Dom0''s can ping each other. Each physical machine has a domu guest and static address assigned to domu''s are 192.168.1.200, 192.168.1.201 respectively. However domu''s can neither ping each other

BSOD w/ gplpv drivers and Windows 2008 R2 64-bit
Hey, I''ve been trying to get the gplpv drivers working with Windows 2008 R2 64-bit on both a stock CentOS 5.8 install and CentOS 5.8 w/ Xen 4.1.2 from the gitco repos. I''m getting a BSOD shortly after boot up and it can be seen at http://techmonkeys.org/xen/ -- along with the qemu log. Has anyone had success with these drivers and Windows 2008 R2 64-bit? If so, what am I

size units in xen-create-image, and other newbie doubts
Greetings, I'm fiddling with Xen at home, the dom0 is a freshly installed Debian stable (current 6.0.6 squeeze) using LVM over RAID. I want to use two VGs, so the pointy-clicky won't really do since --lvm only takes one argument (i assume). That's no big deal, i can use LVM tools and even the partitions.d scripts xen-tools can use and provide a partition template through the

DomU Guests not shutting down nicely when Dom0 Hypervisor shuts down
I am using Xen 4.6.0-8.el7 on CentOS 7 with 3 Linux DomUs. I did have Xen 4.? on CentOS 6.5 on my previous system. I installed using yum install centos-release-xen. On shutting down the Hypervisor it used to wait for the DomUs to shut down gracefully (one can take a minute or more), then on starting up again it would restart the DomUs, all nice and controlled. For some reason the DomUs (CentOS

i386 hypervisor seeing only ~16G RAM, amd64 required?
Hi, I have several machines using xen-hypervisor-3.2-1-i386 from etch-backports and they recently got upgraded to 20 or 24G RAM. I have seen talk of a limit of a 16G RAM with 32bit PAE Xen and indeed this is what I am seeing. I am guessing there is still no way to get the 32bit hypervisor to see more than 16G RAM, and I must go to 64bit. Can I boot a 64bit hypervisor and still keep the same

Bug#799122: xen-hypervisor-4.4-amd64: Networking of domUs stops working after a few minutes
Package: xen-hypervisor-4.4-amd64 Version: 4.4.1-9+deb8u1 Severity: important A few minutes after starting a domU, network access is no longer possible from and to it. This does not always happen and is not easily reproducible, but seems to occur in all newly started domUs from some point in time on. However, also restarting the dom0 does not necessarily prevent the problem. At the moment when

Bug#391448: xen-hypervisor-3.0-unstable-1-i386: dom0 crashes when starting the 3rd domU
Package: xen-hypervisor-3.0-unstable-1-i386 Version: 3.0-unstable+hg11561-1 Severity: important I've installed xen-linux-system-2.6.17-2-xen-k7 (version 2.6.17-9) on a server, and planned to run 3 Xen domUs on it. Creating the domUs was no problem, and running two of them works well. Starting the third one however will crash the dom0 and forces it to reboot. The machine is a Athlon64 3800+

GRUB boot parameters: dom0_mem
I''ve installed Xen Hypervisor 3.0.3 (CentOS 5.7, i386) inside Virtualbox 4.1.16 (Mageia 1, i686) and have noticed that Dom0 is consuming 85% of the memory allocated to the VM (1GB) so I''d like to reduce this as much as possible in order to make more room for one or two VM''s. Is there a minimum amount of vRAM that can/should be allocated to Dom0 (using the dom0_mem boot

Question about the memory layout of xen hypervisor, dom0 and domU
Hi, I have a question about the memory layout of the Xen hypervisor, dom0 and domU. *The goal I want to achieve is: I want to show which RAM area is used by hypervisor, which RAM area is used by dom0, which RAM area is used by each domU (PV guest domain). I hope to know the above information when xen is booted as well as when xen is running some domUs. I already know that we can dedicate a fix

Is it possible to do a dual-boot?
Dear all, Actually, I want to create my own test-bed based on xen hypervisor with centos prefered. However, all I have is one desktop (with a good hardware performance). So it possible to have a dual-boot (a linux for daily use and the other for the test-bed) ?
