Hi, i have some old IBM USB touchscreens, that insist on not working correctly under CentOS. I tried to use the 3m driver and the elousb driver, but none of them work. The touch part works out of the box witohut any drivers, but i can't find a way to calibrate them The y axis is inverted and the X axis is a bit off. Here is the output form lsusb: Bus 003 Device 002: ID 0596:0001 MicroTouch

How to: Improve Network Throughput of a XEN kernel?
Hi there, I am starting a new thread to try and solve a problem I am having will slow network throughput to the XEN host (not to a domU). I have confirmed my problem occurs with PVOPS ''xen/master'' kernel as well using http://pasik.reaktio.net/xen/pv_ops-dom0-debug/config-2.6.31.6-pvops-dom0-xen-master-x86_64 as the .config. It also occurs with a forward ported xenified kernel

Debugging (possible) Xen-related hang-issues without the possibility of attaching serial console to capture Xen output
Hey all! I''m currently in the process of trying to debug a (possibly!) Xen-related issue (with Kernel 3.2.9-vanilla as Dom0, and Xen 4.1.2 [almost] vanilla, except for a patch for CVE-2012-0029), where a system freezes without me being able to ascertain a triggering event. The system console is completely unresponsive in the event of hangs (i.e., displays motd and the login prompt,

File descriptor passing broken in FreeBSD 7?
Hi, I recently tried to use the newly released mod_rails (www.modrails.com) for Apache, and discovered it doesn't work on FreeBSD 7. It does however work on FreeBSD 6 just fine. I tracked it down to sendmsg() as detailed here: http://code.google.com/p/phusion-passenger/issues/detail?id=16 The mod_rails/passenger unit tests fail on FD passing, as do the Ruby 1.8.6 standard unit

Strange behaviour with LDAP searches
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA256 Hey, I stumbled across strange behaviour with LDAP searches against a Samba 4 AD today, where queries for (&(objectClass=x)(|(...)(...)))" won't deliver any result, whereas queries (|(...)(...)) will function correctly. USB 3.0 NIC / Sitecom NL-031
Hi, I have a Sitecom NL-031 USB 3.0 NIC which I'd like to use under centos 6.5, but unfortunately I see no support. Or, I am doing something wrong. According to LKDDb (Linux Kernel Driver DataBase), the correct driver is "CONFIG_USB_NET_AX8817X: ASIX AX88xxx Based USB 2.0 Ethernet Adapters" but obviously, I've grabbed a non matching "iProduct", because mine is

As I already wrote, I've definitely checked the networking, and that's all fine. There are no network packets generated by winbind when

blktap2, also broken in current pv_ops stable-2.6.32.x?
Hey! As I''ve already written about two days ago, I''m having major trouble getting blktap2 to work properly. After trying xen-sources-2.6.32-xen-r1 from Gentoo (where Andrew Lyon, the maintainer, has already confirmed that he''s hitting the same problem as me, i.e. the blktap2 driver is dysfunctional in the kernel), I decided to give a pv_ops-Kernel a try, and checked out

Tools to take a kernel crash dump.
Hello Everyone, We have noticed that one of our servers xen Dom0 is restarting idiopathically. Atleast, we are not able to analyze the cause. I have checked the logs but couldn''t find anything relating to it. Are there any tools such as kdump (which doesn''t seem to work on xenified kernels) for catching the kernel crash snapshot. Asterisk 11.10.2 update breaks snom TLS transport
Hey all, I've recently updated an Asterisk installation to 11.10.2 (from the Gentoo packaged build), and the update has (seemingly) broken TLS transport for snom phones (I could reproduce on snom 3x0 and 7x0 with 8.4.3x and 8.7.x.y firmwares). What happens is that the registration to the PBX is successful, and inbound calls work normally (i.e., when the phone is being signalled that a

how to enable dom0 and domu share same physical network...
Hi, I have two physical machines connected through a switch in a 192.168.1.* subnet. Dom0''s are assigned static ip addresses 192.168.1.100, 192.168.1.101 respectively. Dom0''s can ping each other. Each physical machine has a domu guest and static address assigned to domu''s are 192.168.1.200, 192.168.1.201 respectively. However domu''s can neither ping each other

Failover testing problem and a heartbeat question
We have a setup with 15 hosts fibre attached via a switch to a common SAN. Each host has a single fibre port, the SAN has two controllers each with two ports. The SAN is exposing four OCFS2 v1.4.2 volumes. While performing a failover test, we observed 8 hosts fence and 2 reboot _without_ fencing. The OCFS2 FAQ recommends a default disk heartbeat of 31 - 61 loops for multipath io users. Our initial
