Xen VGA Passthrough - GTX 480 successfully quadrified to quadro 6000 (softmod) - more than 4GB of RAM for Win XP 64 Bits
Hi Gordan, I received my Asus GTX 480 today (bought on ebay). Finally I succeeded in - quadrifying my GTX 480  into a Quadro 6000 ( softmod). - overpassing the 3-4GB of RAM on Windows XP 64 bits (domU) by applying a well known patch for Xen. - playing Crysis 2 and Darksiders II for a few minutes. http://img11.hostingpics.net/pics/953254ScreenshotXenSoftModedQuadro6000.png Using nvlfash I

Nouveau on GeForce GTX 980M
Hi, I was wondering is it possible to can get my GeForce GTX 980M work with Nouveau. I see that the non "M" version if GTX 980 is supported ( https://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/CodeNames/) but not the "M" version, how different are they? Now it uses Gallium 0.4 on llvmpipe, from my understanding that's fallback using the cpu right? *lshw -C video:* *-display

Wine recognizes GeForce GTX 560 as GeForce 8300GS
Pretty much all games and steam recognize my graphics card as GeForce 83000GS. I think this causes games to run slowly and even freeze/crash when i try to set graphic details to high. Setting VideoMemorySize from registry to the correct amount doesn't help at all. Also setting VideoPciDeviceID and VideoPciVendorID makes things even worse because then it's detected as Direct3D HAL. [PATCH] drm/nouveau: fix unknown chipset for GTX 1060
Nouveau driver shows unknown chipset (136000a1) for GTX 1060, so it only gives VGA resolution on screen. Use the same chipset as nv134 then it shows FullHD. This commit copies fields from nv134_chipset to nv136_chipset for GTX 1060. Boot Failure: GTX 970 & Fedora 24 Kernel 4.6.4-301.fc24.x86_64
I have read several bugs with similar issues on BugZilla concerning 4.6.4 and GTX 970's. I managed a work around by booting to previous kernel release but nouveau wont work with this card. I run two GPUs, so I moved my 760 to primary to at least get a boot, obviously the other screen with this card wont work (just sleeps). I would report this to BugZilla however with the boot failure on

Handling GeForce GTX 850M GPU on Arch Linux
Hello all, I've juste installed a new computer and I feel like I'm having trouble with my NVIDIA GPU but it could be something else so I've enclosed detailed output. As you can see in [lspci] output, my GPU is `NVIDIA Corporation GM107M [GeForce GTX 850M] (rev a2)` whose specification can be found in [specs]. errors with GeForce GTX 650 Ti and 3 monitors
Hi, Using 3 monitors on the GeForce GTX 650 Ti card (2 DVI and 1 VGA) works great out of the box on Fedora 20. However, every couple of days the graphics driver seems to crash. The same thing used to happen when 2 monitors were in use, but that has pretty much stabilized as of late. Does anyone have a stable setup with this card using 3 monitors? Will 3 monitors be supported? Thanks, Rob $

VGA Passthrough of AMD FirePro W7000 to Windows 8: Not enough resources
I''m using Xen 4.3, installed from source on Ubuntu 13.04. I''ve successfully installed a Windows 8 guest, and had Xen pass it an AMD FirePro W7000 GPU (technically 2 PCI devices - the second is for the sound), as well as the virtualised graphics adapter. Windows finds the card fine, and I''ve installed AMD''s drivers. Device Manager says that the card cannot

GTX 1080 Ti (NV132/GP102)
Since the Ubuntu 17.10 that I'm running now has Linux 4.12, there should be some support for my card, yet I still experience the same phenomenon. If I DO NOT use `nomodeset`, I see the boot log shooting through and then blank. I can tell that it is not a system halt, because I can ctrl-alt-delete and the OS catches that and safely reboots. It is the official Ubuntu 4.12.0-11-generic, x86_64.
