Class inheritance or virtual resources to manage apache modules
I want to start out with an apache class that will disable all modules
except for a pre-defined list, thus establishing a baseline of active
modules.
Then as needed, other classes could enable a module that they require
that would have been disabled by the baseline state.
Its possible several classes may try to enable the same module (1 or
more classes needing module1 could be on a single node)

Best graphviz settings
So,
Anyone playing with the graph files yet? Just wondering if anyone has
discovered a really good set of parameters to pass to dot to get the best
looking graphs (OmniGraffle looks nice but I don''t want to pay for anything
and want a way to generate graphics from the command-line).

New Feature: Graphing
Hi all,
One of the major new features in the upcoming release is that Puppet
now uses a graph library internally to handle resource
relationships. The big benefit to all of you is that you can use
this library to turn these graphs into images.
The trick, right now, is adding --graph when you run puppetd. This
creates .dot files, which can then be interpreted by the

php5 and postgresql 8.2/8.3
Hi.
I have installed php5 with support for postgresql (php5-pgsql). If I
install postgresql-client ver. 8.2.7 or 8.3.x apache (httpd)
core-dumps. If I install postgresql-client 8.1.11 or 8.2.6 apache does
not core-dump.
This is the output (backtrace) from gdb:

appdynamics php agent prevented by SELinux
Hey guys,
I've got another C7 problem I was hoping to solve. I
installed appdynamics-php-agent-4.0.5.0-1.x86_64 on a C7.1 host.
It's failing to communicate with it's controller on another host. And this
is the interesting part. Whether or not I have SELinux enabled, I have
apache reporting SELinux problems.

Models relationship summary / Entity relationship diagram
Hi,
Does anyone know of a tool or script that can parse the contents of
the models folder and produce some sort of model relationship
document, either a text summary or graphical representation?
Thanks, Andrew.

Puppet requires second run to execute some catalog items.
Hi, I''ve inherited a puppet setup for automating php installation and
extension management. We''re on Debian and we''ve encountered a strange
issue that I''ve traced down back to puppet I think. I''ve stripped back the
configuration and made the problem reproducible, logs and config pasted
below.

Yeah I completely get where you're coming from there. However it's not an
RPM from a repo. I downloaded the rpm from the appdynamics site itself.

2 package resources for the same package installation in two differents modules caused errors
Hello,
We had the following situation where including two classes that were
ensuring the installation of the same package "php5-imagick" and it
was causing an error indicating that two ressources of the same name
are forbidden (sorry, I don''t have the exact message error since we
fixed quickly the error).
Since we are newbies in puppet, we would like to understand what this

php config security concern for c5
a recent post on bugtraq hilighted an issue with how upstream has
configured apache to invoke php, namely using addhandler, which has the
behavior of matching the extension anywhere in the file. this means
that foo.php.jpg will be run as php. where this becomes an issue is web
apps that allow uploads into the webspace for images, pdfs, etc. if the
app assumes that anything.jpg is safe,

Samba + NFS + APACHE + PHP5 + Symfony
Hello All, I'm new here so I expect to learn a lot using this mail list.
Let's directly to my problem.
I have here 2 servers, one running Apache + php5 + Symfony, and other server with Samba and nfs.
The web-server mount the data from the samba-server by nfs. there are developers that create and edit the data on the samba-server, but the Apache and Symfony create and edit data too,

PHP bindings fail on Ubuntu for xapian-bindings-1.2.21
Hi Olly and co,
On an Ubuntu 15.10, following the docs at
https://trac.xapian.org/wiki/FAQ/PHP%20Bindings%20Package
When
running debuild -e PHP_VERSIONS=5 -us -uc
I get (sorry for the French):
