Puppet apply err: Could not prefetch keystone_user provider 'keystone'
On a new puppet master node I get this error on a puppet apply for an

Tips?

New version of UFO - is there a new HOWTO?
I just installed glusterfs-swift 3.3.1 on a couple of Fedora 18 servers.
This is based on swift 1.7.4 and has keystone in the config. I had
experimented with the one based on swift 1.4.8 and tempauth and had some
problems with it. The HOWTO I can find is still for the old one. Is
there an updated one?
I would also need to find some instructions on setting up keystone from

Re: snapshot anomaly
I had the same problem yesterday. I found the solution from this article
https://kashyapc.fedorapeople.org/virt/lc-2012/snapshots-handout.html.
According to the article it deletes the tracking metadata by libvirt.
You can physically remove the snapshot now that there is no tracking stream
data by libvirt

Re: libvirt/dnsmasq is not adhering to static DHCP assignments
Hi,
It looks like that's the issue:
# cat /var/lib/libvirt/dnsmasq/osc_mgmt.hostsfile
52:54:00:2c:85:92,192.168.80.1,openstack-controller-00
But it makes me wonder...libvirt should be generating and managing this
file right? Do I need to edit this myself or should libvirt be updating
this file? If so then why isn't it?

[LXC][Openstack] Clarifications needed on usage of libvirt-lxc for openstack
Hi everyone,
I've some doubts regarding the usage/working of libvirt-lxc with openstack.
I'm doing a project titled "Low density virtualization for Storage cloud"
1. Can i use libvirt for lxc with Openstack swift alone (excluding nova,
glance and keystone)? If no what other openstack components should i use
for virtualization? (Is it necessary to install openstack nova to do

Custom Binary Format Challenges
The bitcode is only a representation of the IR, which is in SSA form. And
SSA form assumes an infinite amount of registers, which is not offered by
x86. When bitcode gets assembled/compiled to machine language, it breaks
down the SSA form into non-SSA format. Personally I don't know how to use
bitcode language to achieve what you want to do.
The closest thing I can think of is the llvm-MC

puppet openstack - missing quantum module
Hello,
I was very thrilled when I found openstack module since I am in
the process of doing some "heavy" testing
However I was not able to use it due to the "Could not find declared class
quantum::db::mysql" error
There is no quantum module available as part of the openstack module
installation
Here is a directory listing:
ls /etc/puppet/modules

Replacement brackets for Supermicro UIO SAS cards....
I just wanted to share this useful info as I haven''t seen it anywhere.
My scrounging-genius colleague, Lawrence, found standard PCI-e
replacement brackets for the justifiably popular Supermicro AOC-USAS-L8i
cards. They cost a few bucks each, fit perfectly and allow us to use
these cards extensively without any case-hackery.

Actually, there is a GUI management program in the nVidia driver suite.
Unfortunately, by the way X works, some of these

Re: Rollback to running VM
Thanks! The vanilla snapshot-create-as and revert commands work just exactly the way I’d want them to. I’d gotten a bit confused by the documentation and went down a rabbit hole with external snapshots.
Is there any way to make the snapshot and restore faster, like maybe by a decimal order of magnitude? For example, will PXE booting the VM and running it entirely off of a RAM disk and also using

Re: Share ZFS zpool between host and VM's
There are several possibilities depending upon what you mean.
Personally, I have a zpool on the host that I carve off individual zfs
filesystems that each guest uses. I put one qcow2 or raw image per zfs
filesystem. I do this for backup and replication purposes. Then I have a
recursive replication from this host to another so that I can boot up
any of the VMs should the primary VM server goes

oVirt gaps for Virtualization SIG
Hi,
following up to CentOS Virt SIG meeting here is a quick review of the gaps we have for porting ovirt within CentOS Koji.
On the manager side, in order to properly build ovirt-engine (the main package in oVirt project) we're missing several pre-requisites.
We're relying on a binary packaging of jboss-as 7.1 we ship as ovirt-engine-jboss-as.
So first step should be to rebuild Fedora 19
