Foreman / External Nodes -- Node Not found
Hello All, So I finally got around to start to cut over node definitions from standard flat files to external nodes (foreman), and getting error message: "Error 400 on SERVER: Could not find node ''nodename''; cannot compile" - So basically it can''t pick up the node from the external node config. When I test the fetching of the yaml file it seems to work

Puppet apply and send reports?
Hi all, I hope somebody can help me with something. We have a rather large number of netbooted nodes that we are running "puppet apply" via a script and a cron job every 30 minutes I was wondering if there is a way to configure puppet apply, to also send any reports to our dashboard server that is being used for our normal puppet clients and what would be the way to go about doing

puppet node clean using SQLite instead of PuppetDB
I have a node that has some bad stored configs (namely the wrong ssh host keys) that I''m trying to clear out. Looking around it seems I''m supposed to do: puppet node clean foo.example.com However, that keeps bailing out because it''s trying to open a SQLite3 db where stored configs are normally kept, but my stored configs are kept in puppetdb (http://pastie.org/7814483

Foreman -- Reporting
Hello All, I don''t seem to be able to get reports to display on the foreman interface. I copied extras/puppet/foreman/files/foreman-report.rb to / usr/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/puppet/reportsforeman.rb, instead of /usr/ lib/ruby/1.8/puppet/reports/foreman.rb. Config: Centos5.4, Apache/ Passenger, Puppet 0.25.4. The reports are coming from the clients, because I can see them in

Trouble with ENC and static.pp : enabling ENC fails to find node even with default node in site.pp
I''m having some trouble with getting an ENC to work alongside site.pp: Even with a ''default'' node definition, and an ENC that only returns 0, regardless of input, consistently results in a ''cannot find node'' error. I''m wondering what I''ve missed here. I''ve tried to reduce everything to a ''base case'': and

two nodes with different performance metrics
Two-node AFR with two clients, all four machines identical, v2.0.9, etc. I notice that one client is able to read and write much more quickly than the other and I'm wondering how I go about finding why that is. In a two-node AFR, is one node always elected to be the primary node for writes and does that apply for reads too? That would explain my situation (client0 and server0 share a

Unable to collect VM metrics for ESX using libvirt
Hi, I am trying to connect to a server running esx and collect system metrics like cpu usage, network and disk iops. I am able to establish the connection successfully and obtain VM information such as ids, domain names, config xml etc. But I am unable to collect statistics. I am using the python interface and if I do , conn=libvirt.openAuth(uri, auth, 0) dom-conn.lookupByID(id) // Where id is

Font Metrics
Hi All Newbie to wine here :) I have installed wine, and can get notepad and winemine up, but when I do, I get a painfully long list of messages and then it goes into Font Metrics 1.1% - Font Metrics 1.2% untill we eventually get to 100%. I also tried to run File Maker Pro 5 for windows, however the window opened and just hung for about 15 mins before I killed the process. I have checked the

Kiss Metrics Ruby API
hey there I have a question about the ruby API for an event I would like to add that is happening in a user dashboard of ours. Our whole site is tracked using the javascript API but there is a particular state ''done'' that has to be completed by different user logging into a dashboard and clicking a checkbox which then triggers this "done" state. There has been a hook

Samba metrics gathering?
I was wondering if there is a way to monitor and gather metrics for Samba. We would love a solution that would be able to plot the number of connected users, file usage, samba server load, etc. Does anyone have any of these tools or any suggestions? Something similar to smbstatus but with more information and the ability to output (for graphing and logging). -marc

xen metrics available?
Hello, I have a machine with suse10.1 with the xen pae kernel installed. The machine has 6GB of memory, 150GB hd and a 2nd 300GB hd to store xen images. I run 2 xen images on the machines each with 2.5GB and Dom0 with 300MB. For some reason the images have been very slow, I use these images to install my company''s installers and they hang sometimes which does not happen on native

[LLVMdev] New inliner metrics
Hi, I have just committed r94615 which changes how the cost of inlining a function is calculated. Mostly I have changed constants so the metrics are closer to reality. If you are suddenly losing performance on an important benchmark, it may be because something is not getting inlined any more. If your -Os binaries are suddenly a lot smaller, that was probably the inliner too. The new metrics

Font metrics error
Wine spits out a buch of error messages of the form: fixme:font:LFD_InitFontInfo font '-monotype-times new roman-medium-r-normal--0-0-0-0-p-0-fcd8859-15' has unknown registry 'fcd8859' and character encoding '15' Is there a switch to get it forget about it's font server. I'm running batch mode programs so fonts are irrelevant. Thanks,

Lot of fixme when building font metrics (CVS)
Hi, Running into problems with fonts, I erased the ~/.wine/cachedmetrics file to regenerate them. Lots of fixme are displayed, a sample : fixme:font:LFD_InitFontInfo font '-greek-lucidatypewriter-medium-r-normal-sans-14-140-75-75-m-90-dos-737' has unknown registry 'dos' and character encoding '737' Can I ignore them or could them be source of problems ?

Font metrics information
Hi, When I ran wine for the first time, font metrics information is built. It doesn't take a lot of time, but when you are forwarding X session over half a world, this can be pretty slow and annoying. Well, I know that there is probably no way how to avoid this, but I think there is a way how to avoid this when you reinstall wine. So, question is, where is stored font metrics information

Asterisk realtime and metrics
Hello guys, as you probably have already understood, I'm trying to make asterisk realtime work. Well, now it's working, but I'm not fully understanding the "metrics". In voip-info.org I found that they are a sort of "position" inside a context (var_metric) or the index of the context (cat_metric). Am I right? Where can I obtain more info about these
