Puppet 3.0.0 bugs fixed in 3.0.1
Hi, Matthaus posted a link to the RC of Puppet 3.0.1 last week[1] but it
might have gotten missed over the weekend. I wanted to follow up to call
out some specific fixes in the release that the early adopters ran into and
reported (for which: THANK YOU!!).
First, the problem with `puppet kick` not working is fixed[2]. You will
still see a deprecation warning, which is intentional, but

Asterisk translator issue?
Hi all, I have a network with some asterisk in trunk with IAX2 and some
SIP/ZAP phone connect to this *.
In every call I need to use only alaw codec so in all conf file I have
set disallow=all and allow=alaw.
I try also to make some tuning of my environment removing unused codec
and application.
If I remove the codec_ulaw.so when I try to call I see this:

cor() and cor.test() (PR#9781)
Hello,
I am trying to make a correlation matrix in R using cor() and also to get
the p-value for each correlation using cor.test(). I can't get these
commands to work. I'm getting errors like the following:

bcc tools and bpftrace packages misbuilt?
After upgrading to 8.1.1911, bcc-tools and bpftrace seem to be broken.
Current package versions I have: bpftrace-0.9-3.el8.x86_64 and bcc-tools-0.8.0-4.el8.x86_64
Both of these seem to be pulling in LLVM version 7, rather than the version 8 that is in 8.1.1911:
[root at localhost ~]# bpftrace
bpftrace: error while loading shared libraries: libclangFrontend.so.7: cannot open shared object file:

Suggestions for improvement as regards `as` methods, and a call for consistency in `as.Date` methods
Good evening all,
This topic is gone into at a bit more length at my related Stack Overflow
question here:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/34647674/why-do-as-methods-remove-vector-names-and-is-there-a-way-around-it
There are two lingering issues despite the abundant insight received at SO,
namely:
1) _Why_ do as methods remove their arguments' names attribute?
This is a fact which is

failing ssl authentication
Hi,
I have a fairly basic dovecot 2.0.19 configuration on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS server with self signed certificates and "ssl = required" option set. It had been working for years flawlessly (including upgrade from 1.x to 2.0.19).
Please see full "dovecot -n" output at the end of this post.
Until recently, new mail user agents (MUA) are having problems. I cannot pass the account

systemd-udevd not applying ATTR to block device at boot
Hi everyone,
I have a udev rule file that contains a singular rule:
SUBSYSTEM=="block", ACTION=="add|change", ENV{ID_VENDOR}=="*Google*", ENV{DEVTYPE}=="disk", ATTR{queue/scheduler}:="noop"
When I use a Google Cloud instance and boot it, things work as expected and /dev/sda (a persistent disk) uses the noop scheduler. If the instance also has a

[LLVMdev] [Debug Info PATCH] for support of ref_addr and removal of DIE duplication
Hi All,
The first patch adds support for ref_addr.
Most of it is from r176882, but instead of always using an integer for
ref_addr, we use label + offset for relocation on non-darwin platforms.
The second patch is a modified version of r191792.
The main change is to use a single map instead of 3 maps in DwarfDebug and
instead of calling DwarfDebug::getDIE|insertDIE directly, we delegate the

50 mantis issues marked 'Ready for Testing'
List,
Over the last few months we have managed to bring the total number of
issue on the tracker from 610+ to 537 (as of writing). While this is
good news, we still have a number of open issues that require testers
to help move them along. Below, I have posted the oldest 50 issues
that are in the 'Ready for Testing' state.
Basically, we are looking for more people to step-up and test

Samba 2.0.3 and lotus notes client (PR#15717)
Hello,
We have a problem with samba 2.0.3 and a lotus notes 4.6.2 client.
The local lotus-notes user's databases are on the home-directory
of the user in directory notes/data. The home-directory is a
directory on a unix (HP) file-server and is accessed with samba.
If a user wants to open the databases in his notes/data directory,
he get a notes error "The parameter is incorrect".

oplock_break: client failure in break - shutting down
We recently tried the upgrade to 2.0 Beta series (just finished testing
Beta 4) on our network. Everything works fine with 1.9.18pl10, but once
we start 2.0 in its place we start getting the following in the log files:

alternative for multiple if_else statements
I don't fully understand the logic you are trying to implement, but
something along the lines of
foo <- cut(trialData$date,
breaks = as.Date(c("2007-01-01",
"2008-05-01",
"2009-04-01",
"2010-05-01",

alternative for multiple if_else statements
That many ifelse statements is obviously rather a pain.
Would you not have got what you want with
... paste("survey", year, sep="_")
?
If that is not what you're looking for (eg because 'year' is the observation year and not the study start year), perhaps something that picks the minimum year for a subject or other relevant group might work? For example

1.1.4 and trouble over NFS
Hello, I have some trouble with the current setup (it's a testing
environment):
2 server with Dovecot 1.1.4 from source (OS Debian testing 2.6.26)
(name: "exim" and "exim2")
1 NFS server (OS Debian testing 2.6.26)
I use NFS v.4, indexes shared over NFS. The relavant part of Dovecot
configuration:
dotlock_use_excl = yes
mail_nfs_storage = yes
mail_nfs_index = yes

alternative for multiple if_else statements
Hi Kevin,
I ran the code on the full data set and was able to reproduce the problem
that you are facing.
My guess is that you have an error in your intuition and/or logic, and that
this relates to the use of the subscript [1].
Specifically, on the full dataset, the condition
trialData$date[trialData$survey_start == "Y" & trialData$year == 2013 &
trialData$site ==
