New version of UFO - is there a new HOWTO?
I just installed glusterfs-swift 3.3.1 on a couple of Fedora 18 servers. This is based on swift 1.7.4 and has keystone in the config. I had experimented with the one based on swift 1.4.8 and tempauth and had some problems with it. The HOWTO I can find is still for the old one. Is there an updated one? I would also need to find some instructions on setting up keystone from scratch for

[LXC][Openstack] Clarifications needed on usage of libvirt-lxc for openstack
Hi everyone, I've some doubts regarding the usage/working of libvirt-lxc with openstack. I'm doing a project titled "Low density virtualization for Storage cloud" 1. Can i use libvirt for lxc with Openstack swift alone (excluding nova, glance and keystone)? If no what other openstack components should i use for virtualization? (Is it necessary to install openstack nova to do

Custom Binary Format Challenges
The bitcode is only a representation of the IR, which is in SSA form. And SSA form assumes an infinite amount of registers, which is not offered by x86. When bitcode gets assembled/compiled to machine language, it breaks down the SSA form into non-SSA format. Personally I don't know how to use bitcode language to achieve what you want to do. The closest thing I can think of is the llvm-MC

[LLVMdev] Use of llvm.prefetch intrinsic for basicblock prefetching
Hi, I am new to LLVM and using it for my project where I want to perform software prefetching of code blocks. I am not able to use the llvm.prefetch instruction to fetch a block of code in instruction cache. The LangRef <http://llvm.org/docs/LangRef.html#llvm-prefetch-intrinsic>manual mentions that giving last argument as '0' performs prefetch on instruction cache. However, I get

Re: snapshot anomaly
I had the same problem yesterday. I found the solution from this article https://kashyapc.fedorapeople.org/virt/lc-2012/snapshots-handout.html. According to the article it deletes the tracking metadata by libvirt. You can physically remove the snapshot now that there is no tracking stream data by libvirt On Wed, Aug 23, 2017 at 4:56 PM, Doug Hughes <doug.hughes@keystonenap.com> wrote:

[LLVMdev] How to call the llvm.prefetch intrinsic ?
Hello, Can anyone please guide me how can I replace a load instruction with a prefetch. I was looking at the intrinsic creation methods of the IRBuilder, but I can only find functions corresponding to memset, memcpy and memmove intrinsics, not for prefetching. Also, I target x86-64 architectures. Is it sufficient to insert a call to the intrinsic in the LLVM IR to have the corresponding prefetch

Re: libvirt/dnsmasq is not adhering to static DHCP assignments
Hi, It looks like that's the issue: # cat /var/lib/libvirt/dnsmasq/osc_mgmt.hostsfile 52:54:00:2c:85:92,192.168.80.1,openstack-controller-00 But it makes me wonder...libvirt should be generating and managing this file right? Do I need to edit this myself or should libvirt be updating this file? If so then why isn't it? On Mon, Oct 30, 2017 at 5:21 AM, Yalan Zhang
