librarian-puppet vs git superproject?
Can anyone comment on their experiences with librarian-puppet or using git superproject with per puppet module repositories? We are in the midst of determining which route is optimal for our environment. It seems like using git superprojects would mean one less new tool for everyone to learn. What then would be the advantages of librarian-puppet? Thanks, Ryan Bowlby -- You received this

Nagios XI + Puppet?
Hi All, I currently make use of Icinga (nagios fork) + Puppet for fully automated monitoring. It''s worked great up to this point. I''ve recently been asked to integrate fine grained notifications support into icinga. I''m not entirely sure puppet manifests are the right place to manage contacts, contact groups, and their use within host and service definitions for

[LLVMdev] Request for compilers
Hi Ganesh, Please have a look at: These core parts of LLVM: http://llvm.org/docs/doxygen/html/classllvm_1_1Loop.html#a72bbf45d2e00971f56bf8cfe4e1df01c http://llvm.org/docs/Vectorizers.html These research projects based on LLVM: http://polly.llvm.org http://aesop.ece.umd.edu I'm not sure what you mean by "identify intrinsic functions". Puppet modifying directories by executing shell script as non-root user results in kernel-level insufficient privilege complaints
I am using Puppet 3.1.0 on a CentOS 6.3 machines. The puppet master and puppet agents use CentOS 6.3 as their OS. I have a puppet script (init.pp file for the puppet module) that contains the following exec type: exec { "postgres init": cwd => "/applications/module", command => "bash initializePostgres.sh", user => "postgres", group =>

[LLVMdev] Request for compilers
Hi, For one of our research projects, we are planning to use LLVM. We need the following features: 1. We need to aggressively fuse loops that have inter-loop dependencies. 2. We need to identify intrinsic functions and induction variables. 3. We need to detect few memory access patterns like copy, transpose-copy, stride-copy etc. 4. Lastly, auto-vectorization and

puppet newbie
Hi, I am new to Puppet. I need to monitor a file for changes on a server and if it does, copy it immediately to the clients. But it has permissions 640, and must retain these. Can anyone suggest a manifest for this? Thanks a lot. M -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Puppet Users" group. To view this discussion on the web visit

Query on unswitching + vectorization
Hi, I am going through analysis on unswitching + vectorization. For the below test, llvm unswitches successfully but fails to vectorize the loop after unswitching. Llvm bails out saying "Found an outside user" apparently which is the value of 'tmp'. int i, w, x[1000], y[1000],tmp; void fn() { for (i = 0; i < 1000; i++) { if (w==1) { y[i] = 1; tmp = i*2; }

Query on unswitching + vectorization
* Looks like some sort of pass ordering issue; it will vectorize if indvars runs sometime between loop unswitch and the vectorizer. That insight is helpful. I scheduled Canonicalization of induction variable before loop vectorization and could get the loop vectorized. The indvars are heavily dependent on SCEV. If there a scalar like tmp which is of real type, we may not be able to get the

Taking github noise away from puppet-dev list
Since our move to github for pull requests and patches, the usefulness of puppet-dev has declined significantly. puppet-dev used to be a great list for development discussion of puppet and the ecosystem around it. With the information and pull request emails from github, unless everybody has finely-tuned their email clients, the puppet-dev list has turned into mostly noise. We have a goal to

reversing xlim, ylim in smoothScatter
Hello, I have found that in smoothScatter it is not possible to reverse the axes plotted (R version 2.9.0) .   It appears that this arises from the hard coding of xlim and ylim in smoothscatter.R in the lines : x <- x[ xlim[1] <= x[,1] & x[,1] <=xlim[2], ]   (line  number 25) and x <- x[ ylim[1] <= x[,2] & x[,2] <= ylim[2], ]  (line number 31) This results in a x

[LLVMdev] globals in DS graph
Ganesh, I modified DataStructure.cpp so that global nodes are no longer removed from any graphs. Only that file has changed. Chris, if you get a chance to do this, it would be nice if you could take a quick look at the change I made and make sure that's all that's needed. Installing Puppet Agent on Solaris without root privileges
Can anyone point me to a procedure to install only the Puppet Agent on a Solaris 10 system for which I do not have root access?
