Anyone using torque/pbs/munge?
CentOS 6.6 I've got two servers, server1 and hbs (honkin' big server). Both are running munge, and torque... *separately*. My problem is that I've got users who want to be able to submit from server1 to hbs. I see that munged can be pointed to an alternate keyfile... but is there any way to tell qsub what to use? (And yes, I got on the torque users' list, and I'm trying

Rsync-daemon security advisories for writable daemons
There are two security advisories for people who run a writable rsync daemon. One affects only those with "use chroot = no" (which is not a very safe combination in general), and one affects a daemon that has daemon-excluded files that are being hidden in a module's hierarchy. Included are simple config-change suggestions that should help you to avoid the security issues. These

3.02 bug? Symlink ->foo changed to ->/rsyncd-munged/foo
On Mac OS X 10.5.2 I run rsync to keep a couple of instances of my / usr/local tree in sync. With Apple's rsync I run (e.g.): sudo /usr/bin/rsync --rsync-path=/usr/bin/rsync -E --progress -avu -- delete --dry-run --exclude=TeXLive-working-copy/ --exclude=context- update/ --exclude=.Spotlight-V100/ --exclude=.fseventsd/ \ -e "ssh -i /Users/gerben/.ssh/id_rsync -l root" \

I'd say, let Mailman throw all people off the list that have enabled DMARC checking without using exceptions for the lists they are on. It's a known fact that DMARC does not

Question: Custom puppet type for semanage, converting inputs to flags?
Hi, I''m just trying to get an idea about the best way to implement this: I want a type that uses the ''semanage'' binary to manage targeted policy (in this case for files). So for example to create a targeted policy, I might do something like: semanage fcontext -a -f -d -t some_domain_t "/path/to/files(/.*)?" ... which would add a target policy that sets

patches in distros - include upstream ?
Hello, i have found, that major distros (especially opensuse) ship their rsync packages with a lot of patches which i don`t find in the official rsync-patches git. Maybe there is a reason for that or i missed something or looked wrong, but for convenience/transparency i have compiled a list of those and ask if it would make sense to put them into the official rsync patches git, as most of them

FXO Ignore ring
Is there a way to program an FXO device to totally ignore incoming calls? I want to put an FXO on a Fax line so that 911 calls can be sent via that line, but all other activity on the line is between the Fax machine and the phone company. Perhaps munge the ring tone detect if nothing else? Cary

rsync hanging?
Hi there, I've been using rsync for a while to synchronize directories between my windows XP laptop and a redhat linux workstation. However, starting yesterday, rsync started hanging. From what I can tell, rsync completes the transfer and then just hangs rather than exiting. Here are the details: On the client machine (Windows XP): rsync version: 2.5.5, protocol version 26 ssh version:

[LLVMdev] StructLayout
How are bitfields handled in StructLayout? In LLVM 2.5 the struct is unambiguously size by: StructSize += TD.getTypePaddedSize(Ty); // Consume space for this data In LLVM 2.6 it's getTypeAllocSize, which does the same thing. Unfortunately, this is not correct for bitfields. For example, LLVM reports this struct: typedef struct test1 { short f0 : 10; char f1 : 5; long f2 : 1;
