Passthrough support ?
Hi ,
I have been trying to understand PCI -passthrough support. Please
correct me if I am wrong in my following inferences.
1. Device emulation and pass through are both implemented using split
drivers.
2. But, in case of emulation drivers of dom0 are used where as in case
of passthrough ( as the name suggests ) native drivers in domU are used .

AWS EC2 - CentOS 6 + 7 AMIs for new g3.* instance types?
Some additional info...
AFAIK, the AMIs I'm referring to are owned/maintained by the CentOS
team, not by AWS. Details and suggestions to contact this list for
assistance are published at both https://wiki.centos.org/Cloud/AWS and
https://wiki.centos.org/Cloud/AWS
Basically, the maintainer of the Centos.org AWS account just needs to
add/approve the current AMIs for the g3.* instance

190MB is less than one percent of 9.9GB aka 9900MB
BTW, for cases like this, I'd suggest using df -k or -m rather than -h
to get more precise and consistent values.
also note, Unix (and Linux) file systems usually have a

AWS EC2 - CentOS 6 + 7 AMIs for new g3.* instance types?
Hello-
Does anyone one this list maintain the official CentOS 6 + 7 AMIs in AWS?
If so, could you please enable those images for use with the new g3.*
instance types?
If this list is the wrong place for this request, please point me in the
right direction.
Thanks!

disk space trouble on ec2 instance
Hey guys,
Thanks for this response. I just wanted to get back to you to let you know
how I was able to resolve this. And yeah I think it's more informative to
use df -m or df -k, so I'll try to stick to that from now on. Especially
when posting to the lists.
But I took a look around on the disk and saw that the /var/ww and
/usr/local directories were the biggest. So I just solved this

Asterisk on the Cloud With a Click - pre-built Asterisk Amazon EC2 instance
Asterisk-users,
Our two-part tutorial explaining how to use VoIP and Asterisk in
Amazon?s Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2) has garnered quite a bit of
attention. But due to the time required to complete the many steps
needed to get up and running, some of you have asked if it is possible
to create a much simpler to install ?pre-built? Asterisk EC2 ?instance.?
In short, yes it is. And we?ve

disk space trouble on ec2 instance
Hey all,
Ok, so I've been having some trouble for a while with an EC2 instance
running CentOS 5.11 with a disk volume reporting 100% usage. Root is on an
EBS volume.
So I've tried the whole 'du -sk | sort -nr | head -10' routine all around
this volume getting rid of files. At first I was getting rid of about 50MB
of files. Yet the volume remains at 100% capacity.

Are you sure that you called the right program located in
/usr/local/bin?
Do that exactly as libvirt did it:
$ LC_ALL=C PATH=/usr/local/sbin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/sbin:/sbin:/bin /usr/local/bin/qemu-system-x86_64

Important Security Announcement: AltNames Vulnerability [new version of puppet]
We have discovered a security vulnerability (“AltNames Vulnerability”)
whereby a malicious attacker can impersonate the Puppet master using
credentials from a Puppet agent node. This vulnerability cannot cross
Puppet deployments, but it can allow an attacker with elevated
privileges on one Puppet-managed node to gain control of any other
Puppet-managed node within the same infrastructure.
