DWARF: Ranges base address specifier entries & Gold's gdb-index 32 bit bug
Context: In r309526 (with a followup fix in r309529) I implemented the use of DWARF's debug_ranges base address specifier entries to reduce the number of object file relocations needed for debug_ranges*. * in a particular binary internally, an optimized build had a 70% reduction in debug_ranges.reloc, a 16% decrease in total object size (with compressed debug info and fission) Nico noted

Suppressing final spaces in data.frame printouts
When printing data.frames, R aligns columns by padding with spaces. For example, print(data.frame(x=c('a','bb','ccc')),right=FALSE) ? x 1 a? |------------------ vertical bar shows end of line 2 bb |------------------ vertical bar shows end of line 3 ccc|------------------ vertical bar shows end of line Is there some way to suppress the padding for the final column? Parse-Error creates strange function calls (completely different printouts) (PR#13436)
Full_Name: Oliver Bandel Version: R version 2.7.1 (2008-06-23) OS: Linux (Debian Lenny) Submission from: (NULL) (88.73.82.147) Hello, I have written a small R-script. When I inserted one line of code, the behaviour was completely different! Instead of just printing one line more to the output, the complete call of the function in which this line was added, is different, and instead of one such

Node classifier not loading any defined classes
All, I am sure this is just something I am doing wrong, but I am trying to implement a node classifier (shell script) to have my nodes inherit the proper classes. However, when I run it I am not getting any classes except those that are defined in default. Rather than going into detail showing all of my configurations right off the bat, I have a question: I just stood up a

puppet kick problem: host is already running
Hi, I’m managing several machines with a 2.7.6 master, and 2.7.1 and 2.7.6 mixed, not yet all fully upgraded clients. On the puppet master, I want to kick a node but it exits with error code 3, which doesn’t seem right. The agent seems to return the wrong message. <hidden>:~$ puppet kick <hidden> --trace --debug --foreground Triggering <hidden> Getting status status is running

where do uncaught exceptions printouts go?
Hi, I have a worker, which should have thrown an uncaught exception and dumped the stack in the do_work method, however I saw no dump or indication of any error in any of the logs. This makes it very hard to debug, where does stdout and or stderr go? How canb I know if it gets some kind of error? (in this case not being able to find a class). Thanks -- Jim Morris, http://blog.wolfman.com

Memory problems with a custom R package
Hi everyone, I have been attempting to build a very simple R package interfacing with some very simple C++ code. Everything I try though results in the function working but on return it produces a memory error. Here is the output: ***********OUTPUT*************************** > library(MyPackage) > hello(); *** caught segfault *** address 0x3, cause 'memory not mapped'

llvm-cov: Combined report for multiple executables
Hi! I am trying to get a combined coverage report from multiple executables. Looking at earlier discussions [1, 2], it looks like this is supposed to work. I am having some difficulty getting this to work as I would expect it to work, however. Following is a simple case to explain: ////////// shared.h #include <string> void Print1(const std::string& msg); void Print2(const

SEM model testing with identical goodness of fits
HI, I am testing several models about three latent constructs that measure risk attitudes. Two models with different structure obtained identical of fit measures from chisqure to BIC. Model1 assumes three factors are correlated with each other and model two assumes a higher order factor exist and three factors related to this higher factor instead of to each other. Model1: model.one

OpenSSH 7.8p1 drops SSH connection with "Broken Pipe" IMMEDIATELY after successful login
The virtualization is VMware Workstation 12.x, NOT Fusion. Again, I'd like to point that downgrading to 7.7p2 "solved" the issue and that I'm using the same virtualization software for ages (which makes me disbelieve the issue lies with it). I've seen the comment about zero-length passwords... I'm not techie enough to understand the code there (or the technical

Custom MusicOnHold
Currently, I have attempted to get musiconhold going up through a custom handler. I have guaranteed it works all the way up to asterisk, and when asterisk is running I see the music on hold process. The current issue is that when asterisk gets a sip invite and starts the session, I hear nothing. /usr/bin/ecasound -s:/home/dweber/xm001 -C -q is sending raw output to stdout Dan

Problems when linking to R shared library
Folks, I'm fairly sure that I'm doing something stupid, but I'm getting a few really strange results from *some* of the distributions, but by no means all, when I link directly to the R shared library. I've tried this on both Windows with the precompiled Mingw binary of R-2.5.0 (compiling my code with MinGW-3.4.2), and by building R-2.5.0 on Mandriva Linux with gcc-3.4.4 and
