Bug on PAM_Winbind ?
Hello guys,
I am using PAM (0.82) to authenticate (samba) workgroup users and it works
fine (pam_smbpass). But after joining a domain and start using pam_winbind
too, pwauth (2.3.10) get a segmentation fault when trying to authenticate
any workgroup or domain user. What happens is that it does authenticate the
user successfully, but when it calls pam_end() to release its resources, it
crashes.

saving output
I have a question about how to save the output of a logistic regression
model in some format (delimited, preferably) so that I can manipulate it
to make nice tables in excel. I have tried print, save, write, none seem
to do what I want them to. Does anyone have any ideas?

Mac OS X crash bug?
Hi all,
I want to check if this is a bug for which I should file a report.
I am using R2.5.0 on OS X 10.4.9. When I invoke the data editor and
when I change the values of individual cells, it seems to work as
intended. However, when I try to delete/add a row/column, R.app
crashes. I've attached the crash log.
Best,

stupid question??
I am trying to run an R program in batch mode using R in Windows Server
2005. I have found several ways to do this, but keep getting the error
message "expecting a \n or ; in the command". The main command that I
have tried is: R CMD BATCH filename.txt from within R
But I have also used a variety of other commands as well.
What am I doing wrong?

Problem: packages TinnR, Hmisc, applications Tinn-R and R version 2.11.0
Hi,
First: sorry for my bad English!
I have received several emails reporting problems using Tinn-R with
the new R version (2.11.0).
This email is meant to assist the users.
This problem is new and is related with R 2.11.0 and Hmisc package for Windows!
After download and install R 2.11.0pat under Linux and Windows, see
below my results:

[LLVMdev] Makefile Question
I thought it would, but it seems to be missing the CloneModule symbol (which
isn't called from anywhere in the LLVM codebase).

CALEA enforcement guidelines according to Comcast
Sounds like Comcast's manual for CALEA compliance was leaked. Pretty
interesting read if you are curious:

Have you tried removing LINK_COMPONENTS below? I suspect that the opt
binary already contains everying in the transformUtils library.

[LLVMdev] Makefile Question
Hi Gregory,
I had a similar problem a while back, see:
http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/pipermail/llvmdev/2010-June/032508.html for
my solution to this problem.
Basically I ended up linking in the *.o files needed to get exactly
what I needed (in your case, the file defining CloneModule and
whatever else you need), without pulling in too much (causing
duplicate symbol issues with opt).
Hopefully this

refline in forest() {metafor}
Hello all,
I am using forest.rma to plot a random effects model meta-analysis. I noticed
that refline sets a vertical line indicating the null hypothesis.
Is there a way to draw another vertical line, possibly dashed, centered on the
summary estimate?
Prof. Viechtbauer, if you happen to read this, I'd like to thank you for making
an excellent package. I have been using the metafor package

[LLVMdev] Makefile Question
Hello,
I have a question about how to set up a Makefile that generate a .so that I
can load into opt without getting duplicate symbols. Here's what I have

LINK_LIBS_IN_SHARED=1
include $(LEVEL)/Makefile.common

autofs handling of nis maps - Centos4
I have the following nis map (auto.facvs)

Which allows hosts that have /disk1 exported to be mounted to

It works fine, but on Centos4, it allows me to
cd /facvs/foo (where foo isn't a real host out there)
I find it has mounted my local /disk1 as /facvs/foo. It seems to be
ignoring the key in the map pertaining to the host if it's not a valid

Plotting x-axis labels perpendicular to the axis
Hi,
The following command: axis(1, at= 1:50, labels= sampleNames(data)) produces
an X-axis with 50 ticks and labels drawn from the sampleNames namespace.
Problem is the labels at each tick are printed parallel to the x-axis and
thus run into each other. How do I specify for the labels to be printed
perpendicular to the x-axis?
Thanks in advance.

I have a file of the following type:
id a b

I would like to plot the data in column a on the y-axis and the
corresponding data in column id on the x-axis, so plot(a~id). However I
would like to colour these points according to the data in column b.
column b data may be colour coded into the
