PuppetConf 2012 -- Last day for early bird pricing
It''s the time of year again where we gather the Puppet faithful from
around the world and hold PuppetConf. What started last year in
Portland is moving to San Francisco this year, with a bigger venue,
more tracks and amazing speakers. PuppetConf 2012 takes place in San
Francisco, from September 27–28.
So, why am I emailing you today about it? Well, early bird pricing
ends today.

Emailing lost passwords
This might be a stupid question and if so then humor me with smart
remark and the answer :)
I want to have a feature on my site that allows me to email forgotten
passwords back to the user (like what Backpack does). Now I''m currently
encrypting the user''s password + salt before saving to the database
using code borrowed from the LoginGenerator.
The question I have is there

PuppetConf speakers contact info
I''m trying to find email addresses of some of the speakers from Puppet
Conf last week. They aren''t on the web site... maybe due to spamming
concerns. Short of Googling, how can I get these?
Also... are there slides available yet? What about video?

Shared Mailboxes Not Visible
OK, gurus, I've spent the last 2 days crawling through all of the posts
and web postings regarding shared folders, and I simply cannot get it to
work. I'm sure that there is something simple that I've overlooked, but
cannot for the life of me see it :)
Here's my current config:

[Flac-users] FLAC/LPAC/Bzip2 better for archival?
Hi. I am a student with limited funds and storage space on my linux box. So I am trying to decide what audio compression scheme to use for my collection of audio tapes (recordings of one speaker, preaching in an church auditorium, recorded with low-grade mics and tape decks) converted to digital audio (16bit, stereo, WAV, 44100Hz). Is FLAC, LPAC, or a standard data compression format better for

Small Date Formatting Question regarding datetime_select()
Is there a way to make datetime_select() dropdowns work on a 12hr
clock? I need to make a input field that works exactly like the
reminders datetime selecton dropdowns in Backpack to populate a
datetime field in my DB. i.e in the format: month, day, year ? hour
(1-12) minute am/pm. Should I change my database to have a separate
column for date and one for time and use date_select()?

New CentOS/RHEL group on Facebook
I second this. I find it rather ironic that one would try to initiate
discussion of an open source operating system and environment in a
proprietary walled off world. This seems rather antithetical to the
whole intent of centos.
