[PATCH 0/4] Reduce core size
From: Matt Fleming <matt.fleming at linux.intel.com> These patches are based on the elflink branch. This set of patches is my attempt at moving the command-line interface functionality out of the core and into an ELF module to reduce the size of the core. The most interesting patch is [PATCH 4/4] which moves the cli code out of core/elflink and into com32/elflink/modules. [PATCH 4/4] is

[PATCH] Staging: hv: storvsc: Show the modulename in /sys/class/scsi_host/*/proc_name
mkinitrd relies on /sys/class/scsi_host/*/proc_name instead of /sys/block/sd*/device/../../../moalias to get the scsi driver module name. As a fallback the sysfs driver name could be used, which does not match the module name either ('storvsc' vs. 'hv_storvsc'). Retrieving x argument name from a trellis object in R 2.8.0
Dear all, let consider the following function: Fun1 <- function() { library(lattice) plot1 <- 1:10~1:10 pl1 <- xyplot(plot1) return(pl1$call$x) } In R 2.5.0 (or older version) we have > Fun1() plot1 but starting from R 2.5.1 until the latest R 2.8.0 we obtain instead > Fun1() NULL because pl1$call seems to be equal to xyplot() without arguments. Something like

[LLVMdev] LLVM Makefile MODULE_NAME error
Hi, I am working on compiling vmkit but have run into an error which seems like something that maybe the llvm community would have a better idea of how to solve than vmkit's. The issue is when vmkit is built to compile the MMTk garbage collector it must use the llvm-gcc compiler, at which point MODULE_NAME is defined instead of LIBRARYNAME. This results in the following error

Problems with spaces in filenames in scripts
I've got some (bash) shell scripts which I'm using to call rsync based on command-line options passed to the script. The problem I'm having is with spaces in the filenames/paths. I can do: --- rsync -rav --modify-window=2 --stats --partial --compress --timeout=30 "localhost::module_name/dir/file with spaces.doc" "/smb/dir/dir with spaces/" --- on the command

Module Organization
This is in reference to David Schmitt''s writeup [1] I like that writeup a lot; I just had a few comments/clarifications: * Namespaces: For now, we just use a flat namespace for modules, i.e. you can''t have modules within modules, and you always know that in a fully qualified name ''foo::bar::baz'' that ''foo'' is the module name and

[PATCH nbdkit] python: Try harder to print the full traceback on error.
The tracebacks are compressed into a single line because we're using PyObject_Str, but they are just about usable if not very readable. For example you would see an error like this: nbdkit: error: ./python-exception.py: config_complete: error: ['Traceback (most recent call last):\n', ' File "./python-exception.py", line 54, in config_complete\n raise_error1()\n',

dynamic mapping in controller
Hi, I have used scaffold to create my rails project and hence I have a database containing a table called "results" and when i call the "show" action followed by the ID it brings up a list of the relative record and its details. What I want though is for if someone types in say localhost/results/etab-mobile that it maps dynamically to localhost/show/1 but keeps

how to test robustness of correlation
Hi, there: As you all know, correlation is not a very robust procedure. Sometimes correlation could be driven by a few outliers. There are a few ways to improve the robustness of correlation (pearson correlation), either by outlier removal procedure, or resampling technique. I am wondering if there is any R package or R code that have incorporated outlier removal or resampling procedure in

[GIT PULL] elflink compiler warning fixes
Hi, These patches fix some compiler warnings in ldlinux and elflink. I've tried to split the patches out so that they only change one file or one type of problem at once. So, if they do inadvertently introduce any bugs it should at least be easy to bisect to a smallish commit. The following changes since commit 9ded45991b4fc83b40af963feb773ddca2589d74: ldlinux: Parse and store the

Solaris binary distribution question /usr/local
HI! I am trying to configure the samba 2.2.7 binary from sunfreeware ( package for Solaris 7). Is there any way to override the default install location of /usr/local/samba for the lock files? I do not have access to /usr/local as it is NFS mounted and shared by all Solaris 7 boxes. I can pkgadd to a different root path, and I can -s the config file to the install location, but I cannot
