Conga / luci question
After playing with conga/luci i'm wondering that it's not possible to reset and/or remove the
generated cluster configuration. Somebody knows how to achieve this? I did not find any hint in the
RH manuals.

If I try to update to centos-5, the installer hangs up.

Hi,
did somebody successfully compile Globus Toolkit 4.0.3 under CenTOS-4.4 from the
source installer gt4.0.3-all-source-installer?

Update Centos-4.4 to centos-5 spents a lot of time in "restorecon"
Hi,
having running centOS-4.4 on a really fast machine (16 GB memory, 8 Opteron CPU's, SATA drives).
Then making an update by using the Centos-5 CD's. The start was fast, but during update,
the installer spents a very, very long wallclock time during selinx updating: for about 1/2 hour
the updater runs in a restorecon/find sequence.
And at the end, before the MBR is written, it spents

NX problems with centos 4.4
Hi,
using centos 4.4, and freenx-0.5.0-10.c4 and nx-1.5.0-1.centos4 on a 8 CPU Amd Opteron
system.
If I access this system by nxclient-1.5.0 from some workstation (FC6)
with Gnome desktop, then after a successful login the X11 windows have
no windowmanager frame, so a handling of the X11 windows is very difficult.
This effect does not appear when acessing the centos system by xdm.

ext3 filesystem performance question
Hi,
I'm running centos-4.4 on an SMP system with 4 dual core opterons (2.4 GHz),
and 16 GB memory.
The disk drives are 500 GB SATA-Drives.
Wondering about times for dd command performance and rm command performance in an empty machine
(the filesystem has been made with "mkfs.ext3 /dev/sd...", nothing more)

Installing samba 2.0.3 on IRIX
HI,
I have a problem when installing samba 2.0.3 on IRIX 6.4. If I use the
standard IRIX C compiler with -n32 option, all goes OK.
But if I use gcc with version egcs-2.91.60, then samba(d) does not
run correctly: if I try to connect the smbd (with smbclient), I
receive the output below. Does somebody have the same problem?
/usr/local/samba/bin/smbclient -L origin -d 5

NA-values in objects of type boot
I am using the function boot (library boot) to calculate bootstrap distributions of parameters describing population dynamics. In rare occasions the resampling can produce invalid values (caused by a division by zero). These values have no biological importance and it seems like I have to exclude them in order to calculate confidence intervals (function boot.ci). My questions are: (1) Am I correct
