Can't build xapian-bindings in a virtual env
Hi, I'm on a Ubuntu 18.04 server, trying to use django-haystack with xapian in a python3.6 virtualenv. The virtualenv is set up not to use system packages, meaning that I can't just install python3-xapian-haystack with apt, and instead have to manually build xapian-core and xapian-bindings within the virtualenv. This works with xapian-core and the --prefix argument to configure. When I

Re: [libvirt] Python-libvirt in a virtual environment.
@Michel using virtualenv we can create an isolated environment in the system. Just go through - http://docs.python-guide.org/en/latest/dev/virtualenvs/ @Eric I'm using Ubuntu, and I was able to install and use libvirt using sudo apt-get install python-libvirt but its not available in tg2 virtual environment. Moreover if you try to install in the virtualenv using the sudo apt-get install

Running LNT and the LLVM test-suite on Windows
Is it possible to run the LLVM test-suite using LNT on Windows? Even under Cygwin? If so how can I do this? The Linux instructions use 'virtualenv'. Alternatively, how should I run the LLVM test-suite for a cross-compiler hosted on Windows? Thanks, MartinO -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:

last access file for 1.0-stable?
Hi, I am almost ready to convert from UW-imap to dovecot 1.0 stable for my imap use. I hacked UW-imap to touch a file in the user's home directory so I can always tell the last time they used imap. My hack looks something like this: if(authenticated) { touchfile = (char *) malloc((strlen (home) + 15); sprintf(touchfile,"%s/.imapd.last",homedir); fd =

Does stdlib break the regsubst function?
Hi all, We are currently using the regsubst function of Puppet to generate some information out of our hostnames (customer, environment, and so.). The manifest is running fine since months. 7: $customer = regsubst($::fqdn, ''(^[^-]*)-[^-]*.*'', "\\1") 8: $environment = regsubst($::fqdn, ''^[^-]*-([^-]*).*'', "\\1") 9: $product =

Running LNT and the LLVM test-suite on Windows
There is no way this will work first try, but there is no reason this cant work with some fixups. We have not been testing it, so im sure there will be glitches. I'd start by running the test-suite with cmake, and see how it goes, then move on to LNT. Unix-like touch to update modification timestamp of file?
Hi, is it possible to update the modification time stamp of a file using R (on file systems supporting it)? It is sufficient to update the modification time to the current time. The best I can do for now is: touchFile <- function(pathname, ...) { if (!file.exists(pathname)) stop("No such file: ", pathname); info <- file.info(pathname); if (info$isdir)

Basic string manipulation in puppet
Hi all, Been searching the net for a few hours now. I have a basic operation I wish to perform but, cannot find examples close enough to what I''m after to implement it myself. This is what I want to do: $version = ''10.2.0'' I want to manipulate the string to make a new var ($cutversion), equal just 102. For example in perl (since I know it): $version =

Python Xapian bindings in PyPi?
Is there a package for the Python Xapian bindings in PyPi (the Python package index)??I install nearly all of my Python packages using pip and virtualenv, but I've had to manually compile the Xapian bindings for Python for a couple of projects. I just did this again and was wondering if I'd simply missed the package before. If there isn't a package in PyPi, would you be interested in

Append string to list items.
I have an array: $nodes = [''gfs01'' ,''gfs02'', ''gfs03'', ''gfs04] and a string variable: $brick_store = "/var/bricks" How can I append "/var/bricks" to each item in the array? Lack of a looping construct makes this challenging in puppet. Such that: brick_array = [''gfs01:/var/bricks'',
