Hello all, Since 2 or 3 days I have some performance problems when copying files from/to my Samba server. Copying is very slow, about 10x more than normal, and the CPU usage is almost 100% during the file copy. Everything else works fine (NFS, FTP ...). This server has been running for several weeks now, and never had any problems. Any clues what could cause this ? Thanks Marco Schwarz.

Hi, We've been over this before many times, I think... it's about nmbd crashing in 1.9.17 (all patchlevels, AFAIK). Various suggestions have been suggested (cron jobs to kill off / restart nmbd every hour) but no fixes to nmbd itself (I think).
