rsyslog not loading relp
centos 6.4, setup to be syslog server. Doing remote syslog using tcp
works fine, so now want to add relp. I installed the rsyslog-relp
package and told rsyslog.conf to use it:
# RELP Syslog Server:
$ModLoad imrelp # provides RELP syslog reception
$InputRELPServerRun 20514
when I restart rsyslog I am told it does not like my InputRELPServerRun line:

remote logging with rsyslog
This is a similar post to one I've made on the rsyslog list that has received
no responses after four days, so I figured I'd try here since the problem
seems to be CentOS specific. This is also my second attempt to send it to
this list as the first seems to have never showed up.
I am trying to test remote logging between two CentOS 6.3 systems and unable
to get the client logs to show up

new to puppet - can puppet push its content to remote servers?
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Hi,
I was made aware of puppet a few weeks ago and I really like the way
things are working.
What I liked at cfengine was the capability to push content from the
central server to any node. There was no need to open a port from DMZ or
any other remote system to the central server.
Is there a similar way within puppet?
How is this solved by other

Rsyslog problems
Hi,
My rsyslog is not working as expected.
I have some thing in rsyslog.d that do well, like this:
# Log all iptables stuff separately
:msg, contains, "iptables: " {
action(type="omfile" file="/var/log/iptraf/info")
}
No problems with that.
Bu what's in /etc/rsyslog.conf like:
mail.* /var/log/mail/info
don't do anything at all.
Rsyslogd -N1 is OK,

Asterisk 1.2.9 cli "-x" doesn't flush?
We have a script which executes "asterisk -n -r -x ....." periodically
against the running server, to check the status of a few things, and
pipe the output to a file.
With prior versions of Asterisk this worked fine, but having just
upgraded to 1.2.9, we are finding that if the output is lengthy, then
Asterisk seems to terminate before fully flushing stdout.
Is this a known bug, is

show queue ... Invalid
Hi!
I've added member to a queue like this, from queues.conf:
member => SIP/1070@peername
It works OK. But, after restaring I see in show queue that
Members:
SIP/1070@peername (Invalid) ...
What does it mean? Why is it Invalid? BTW, reload command fixes it, so
the member receives queue calls.
Thanks!

getting my head around DMZ
Hello,
I have been running Shorewall for quite some time at an ISP client of
mine to protect his LAN. We have just upgraded to 2.2.4 and he now wants
to put his servers in a DMZ.
The servers have public IPs in two classes xxx.xxx.79.0 and
xxx.xxx.242.0. The public IP on the router for each class is
xxx.xxx.79.126 and xxx.xxx.242.126.
I am using masq and 192.168.1.0 on eth0 LAN
I have tried

predicting with stl() decomposition
Hi mailinglist members,
I’m actually working on a time series prediction and my current approach is
to decompose the series first into a trend, a seasonal component and a
remainder. Therefore I’m using the stl() function. But I’m wondering how to
get the single components in order to predict the particular fitted series’.
This code snippet illustrates my problem:

Fix: hotkey uppercasing too wide
Hello,
Stumble upon this issue. If one define digits as hotkeys, the action is also taken for the non-reserved CTRL-P to CTRL-Y (also affect ASCII prior to digits). Here's a quick patch, quickly tested for action on uppercase/lowercase and digit and inaction on "matching" CTRL key.

Dany

rsyslog-relp - CentOS 5.5
Hi
We have been using rsyslog and rsyslog-relp for a while however it
seems that in 5.5 there is a newer version of rsyslog. Does anyone
know of a repo where rsyslog-relp exists that is compatible with
rsyslog from 5.5 ?
thanks

RESEND: Problems with menu.c32, and some feature request for menu.c32
I am resending this message because I have not recieved any response back.
I have found two bugs in the menu.c32 utility, part of the syslinux-3.08-pre5 build, and have a couple of requests.
Problem 1:
If you use the ^ symbol to define a number as a hotkey, ex. MENU LABEL ^1 Option #1 , the menu will not print the number highlighted. It will use it as a hot key, it just will not highlight it.

Sipura spa-2000 / 3000: surge protection
I am located in the UK, and I am using Sipura spa-2000 adapters to
connect analog phones to a voip network. The network connects to the
PSTN as well via the Sipura spa-3000 adapter.
I would like to provide surge protection for the spa-2000 and the
spa-3000 adapters.
1. For spa-2000, fxs port: What is the maximum tip-to-ring voltage
before damage to the the adapter occurs?
2. For spa-2000,

Voice volume using Monitor application
I am using the Monitor() application (with soxmix for
combining the audios) and the voice connected to the phone network is
recorded at a lower volume then the voice connected directory to the Zap
analog phone card. How can I get both the audios to be at the same
volume on recording?
Thanks

Problem with mle in stats4 (R 1.9.1)
Hi!
This is a repost of an earlier message (with a clearer example
demonstrating the problem I ran into). If you run the mle example in
