similar to: Can't install Kaffeine from RPMForge repo

Hi Folks, I've tried to install kaffeine on CentOS 5 but I get following error Transaction Check Error: file /usr/share/mimelnk/application/x-mplayer2.desktop from install of kaffeine-0.7.1-1.2.el5.rf conflicts with file from package kdelibs-3.5.4-11.el5.centos Any hints to solve this problem? Delete/rename /usr/share/mimelnk/application/x-mplayer2.desktop ? Thx Timothy

Greetings to everyone! On Fedora I used to use djvulibre package for djvu files, but I cannot seem to find this in any CentOS repositores out there. Google also does not help, nor searching list archives. :-( I have found the .rpm file for RHEL 4, but when I tried to install it (hoping that it just might work) rpm refused to install with the error: file /usr/share/mimelnk/image/x-djvu.desktop

Anyone got kaffeine installed. When I do a #yum install kaffeine I get a transaction check error with kde-libs. Is this a known issue and is their a workaround? regards, secrookie

I have downloaded the required KDE files (version 3.4.2)(I know what all files are required), and tried to simply upgrade using the rpm -Uvh command. But i began getting dependency problems. Now, what I did was searched google like a mad buffalo :P to find that missing files, and was successful to a great extent. But the weird thing was I got a few conflicts, which I can't around with. I'm able to get ./configure to get past the Qt error but now it complains that kdelibs isn't installed, or the version of qt doesn't match kdelibs. Everything was yum installed, and this is on CentOs 5 64-bit. Thanks for additional configuration help. Scott

Have been running 5.4 x86_64 for a couple of months now. Every once in a while, I would get a notice that updates were available. It appears that about 3 weeks ago, yum stopped notifying me of updates. Over that time, I've manually done a 'yum update' from a command line, with an output that there are no updates. Hello, i've got a little problem that begins to drive me mad. FOr usage on my xbox360, i need to convert Videos to WMV. After a long search, i found MS WM8EUTIL which seems to be perfect. I have exactly the same problem. I encoded a BWF file to flac and then then decoded back to wav, using --keep-foreign-metadata, and I ended up with a bit-perfect copy of the original BWF. So I was fairly confident that the flac encoding is working correctly, the problem definitely appears to be with the flac players.
