Re: samba-server-3.0.4-2mdk
I took your advice late in the day Friday and pointed my urpmi sources
at cooker. It took care of the Perl upgrade.
I'm hoping to find time for configuration against the Openldap server I
built. I really can't believe the Mandrake doc's got me up and running
so quickly. I even created accounts in ldap for fellow staff memebers,
including the boss, and had them log in. Love the

I'm really not looking forward to downgrading because of this but if
this persists much longer I'll have to. :-(

many small files bug
Hi!
I try to copy a lot of little files between a Linux and a Tru64 (I
successfully compiled rsync on a tru64, it needed a little cosmetics), but
it throws me this error (rsync 2.5.5 on both machines):
779300 files...rsync: error writing 4092 unbuffered bytes - exiting:
Broken pipe
rsync error: error in rsync protocol data stream (code 12) at io.c(463)
The command line was:
rsync -avzP -e ssh

R interest group at Stellenbosch University formed: R@SUN
Hi
I know this only affects a small number of subscribers, so I apologize
to the "Non Stellenbosch University subscribers" for the noise.
Two weeks ago, four R users met and discussed the possibility of forming
an interest group of R users at SUN. The interest group (R at SUN) has the
aim of:
? Promote the use of R at SUN (Stellenbosch University);
? Organize Hons stats courses using

SPT vs. DPT Sanity Check (Samba rules)
Before wasting a lot of time going at this in the wrong list, I would like
to confirm whether my thinking is on or off base with respect to source
and destination ports.
Samba is being blocked by fw2loc even though I have accept rules
set up. I believe I can explain why, but I could be wrong.
I think that for some reason, samba is sourcing stuff on the commonly
used port 137, but trying to send
