But in sshd log, there are no traces left behind by this connection. Normally, there is "Did not receive identification string from xxx" etc, when somebody tries to

Constantly have to restart samba
Hmmm. This does sound odd... A couple of things I can think of off the top of my head would be: - Make sure you are using the "interfaces" option in the [global] section of your smb.conf file. This will force Samba to broadcast share info on the given interface. By default, Samba latches onto the first interface it finds (on my machine, this is usually my modem connection to the

Network shaper for gateway with massive p2p traffic
Hi, I have made this script, that I use for controlling the bandwidth on a gateway for about 100 computers. It is working quite effectively to limit the use of p2p programs (and other programs), so that you can surf undisturbed. Also, it improves internet access in general, so that one large download doesn''t take up all your bandwidth. I was wondering if someone would like to test it,

DRS and DNS sync are not working after update from 4.8.2 to 4.8.3
Hi Aleksey, did you find any solution for this? I just updated from 4.8.2 to 4.8.3 and had very similar effects: Login was no longer possible with 4.8.3 - log file was full of "ldb: Failed to unlock db" messages. I had to downgrade to 4.8.2 in order to make samba work again. Bye, Marcel June 28, 2018 10:28 AM, "Aleksey Vladimirov via samba" <samba at
