script.aculo.us: autocomplete does not work
I copied an exact copy of "http://demo.script.aculo.us/ajax/autocompleter" to my harddisc inclusive all .js and .css. Then I changed "new Ajax.Autocompleter(''contact_name'', ''contact_name_auto_complete'', ''/ajax/auto_complete_for_contact_name'', {})" to "new Ajax.Autocompleter(''contact_name'',

AutoCompleter afterUpdateElement
Any ideas how I can submit say, a person ID instead of the person''s name on an autocompleter input field? Surely this is a common need. Thanks! Daniel

Autocomplete and Firefox
Having problems with the autocomplete on my linux box and firefox. When I use form tags it breaks, without form tags everything works fine. Exact copy of the example provided, but I added form tags.. The initial search and select works but then the box sort of "locks up" and I can''t change it at all, If I do try to type something nothing changes but a second later the whole

Hello! What does this error means? err: Could not retrieve catalog from remote server: Could not intern from pson: Could not convert from pson: Could not find relationship target "Nagios_hostgroup[]" I cannot find it anywhere in my config... I have only 2 nagios_hostgroups, exported to server, then collected in nagios module. Any ideas? Cheers --- Grzegorz MarszaƂek

.call file creation
I am curious partly because it has occurred randomly in my asterisk system. How does one go about creating a .call file for placing a call between two extensions/phones? I know this has been mentioned and is probably in one of the wikis somewhere, but I am unsure exactally how to go about doing it. Can anyone point me in the right direction. Dan

Re: #786: exported resources not refreshed
Hello all, what exactly is the "design decision" that is needed here? We currently have the problem that 0.23.2-3 (debian package) does not work when it comes to collecting exported resources. The resources are saved in the database, so picking them up is the problem (db is Mysql5.x). This is a major problem for us, since we are using this a lot for our monitoring services. I

mySQL 5.0 upgrade - incompatible DateTime format?
I''ve upgraded to mySQL 5.0, and it''s gone pretty smoothly except that on DateTime.now doesn''t seem to return a value that mySQL likes any more, as seen in the following exception: Incorrect datetime value: ''2005-11-20T15:33:12-0800'' for column ''logged_at'' at row 1: UPDATE notes SET `due_on` = ''2005-11-20'',

Nagios object inheritance
So I''m revisiting puppet''s management of nagios now that 0.25.1 is out and I want to say thanks for the updates to all the nagios types. However, there is one huge, gaping hole that''s been asked about before in 2 different threads but that''s never been addressed: object inheritance. For it to work, it requires the object being inherited from to have a

[PATCH 0000/0025] Staging: hv: Driver cleanup
Address Greg's VmBus audit comments: 1) Leverage driver_data field in struct hv_vmbus_device_id to simplify driver code. 2) Make the util driver conform to the Linux Driver Model. 3) Get rid of the ext field in struct hv_device by using the driver specific data functionality. 4) Other general cleanup. pam_winbind and krb5_auth
Hey list, I'm wondering if there is any advantage to be gained by using kerberos with pam_winbind. I've configured pam_winbind and enabled krb5_auth though apart from being granted a ticket, I'm unsure as to any advantage that would be gained by enabling Kerberos. puppet, mongel, nginx and new nodes
Hey All, This is probably a gotcha of some kind. That is to say I''ve missed a configuration somewhere. I''ve recently moved over to using mongrel as the puppet server type and having nginx proxy to one of four mongrel instances. What I''m seeing though is that when I try to run a new node (one that has been created post moving to mongrel/nginx) is that it returns with the

puppet performance and inability to retrieve file metadata
Hey All, I''m running into a problem whereby some nodes are struggling to retrieve the metadata for files. I''ve moved all the nodes across to 0.25.1 to try and eliminate version inconsistencies though they still appear. I''ve also started using asynchronous stored configs as well. I''m wondering if this has anything to do with performance on the box and if there

authenticating new nodes that are created by provisioning
Hey Folks, I''m looking at doing automated provisioning of new servers and am trying to integrate puppet into this process. What I''m wondering though is what the best process for securely registering a new node is. At the moment the first time puppet is run I have to then accept the certificate on the puppetmaster and then run puppet again. What I would like to do is accept the
