drbd on CentOS 5
Hi All, Is the centosplus kernel still needed for drbd support? I noticed that if I do a 'yum update kmod-drbd', yum gives me an error because it wants to install the "normal" CentOS kernel, but can't since I have it excluded. I do see kmod-drbd in the centosplus repo though. Regards, Ranbir -- Kanwar Ranbir Sandhu Linux 2.6.22.9-61.fc6 i686 GNU/Linux 15:12:04 up 21

kmod-drbd
hi, I was following this wiki http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/Ha-Drbd for my CentOS 5 installation, but it appears that the kmod-drdb is not for the newest kernel. Would anyone know how long before this is updated? kmod-drbd i686 8.0.6-1.2.6.18_8.1.14.el5 extras kernel i686 2.6.18-8.el5 installed

GNBD and DRBD kernel mods
Hi all, I am using heartbeat and drbd on CentOS 5 (see http://www.centos.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=7816&forum=41 for details).. DRBD and heartbeat are working, and now I want to put GNBD on top on this. However, I installed the latest CentOS-plus kernel (2.6.18-8.1.8.el5.centos.plus) but there doesn't appear to be a kmod-gndb for this kernel. Looks like the latest

drbd-kmdl packages question
Dear collegues! I've got one question about drbd-kmdl packages. As I can see at $ rpm -qp --qf "%{DESCRIPTION}" kmod-drbd-8.0.16-5.el5_3.i686.rpm This package provides the drbd kernel modules built for the Linux kernel 2.6.18-128.4.1.el5 for the i686 family of processors. So, the question is - kmod-drbd is for kernel 128.4.1 (or build for this kernel version), but current kernel is

Problems loading drbd after upgrade
Hi, I've upgrade the kernel to the latest version (C5) and after the update the drbd is not being loaded at reboot time. My previous running kernel was 2.6.18-164.el5. CentOS 5 centosplus kernel + kmod-gfs
On CentOS 5, the current centosplus kernel doesn't want to play with the kmod-gfs package (because kmod-gfs wants the stock kernel): # yum install kmod-gfs gives me: Transaction Check Error: package kernel-2.6.18-8.1.14.el5.centos.plus (which is newer than kernel-2.6.18-8.1.14.el5) is already installed Should it work, or is there a separate centosplus build that I've not

Multiple errors on puppet client runs: "A section with name updates already exists"
Hello, I''m currently running Puppet 0.25.5-1 on CentOS 5.5. Everything has been going swimmingly until a couple of weeks ago, when I began receiving errors on one of my nodes. The node in question is also my puppetmaster, but the errors seem client-related. The errors are: err: //yumrepos::centosbase/Yumrepo[addons]: Failed to retrieve current state of resource: A section with name

Missing latest kmod-xfs and kmod-drbd82?
Since December there have been several kernel updates to the centosplus repository for centos4... but no updates to kmod-xfs or kmod-drbd82. Latest kernel is 2.6.9-78.0.13.plus.c4, but latest kmod-xfs is 2.6.9_78.0.5.plus.c4. Latest drbd82 kmod is also for 78.0.5. I know there was a mention on the list that these modules are not kernel dependent anymore... but yum and rpm seem to indicate

Unable to use DRBD after a reboot
Hi, I have two servers in a drbd primary/secondary setup. Everything was fine until I had to reboot both servers. The primary rebooted first, the secondary assumed fine, but when the (old primary) server got back online it was unable to mount the drbd fs complaining about the modules. I've tried to find out the problem but the servers seem to have the same setup rpm -qa | grep drbd

centos drbd - mounts/ replication
Hi, I would normally post this to the drbd list but it so low traffic/low volume (plus Austria might be asleep right now) I figured i'd ask someone here in case they have gotten drbd working on centos. Right now my system says i'm only the 971st person to even install it... It's been out for years, so likely this just means version 8. But you'll only see a couple of posts
