rpmforge/dag's perl-Apache-ASP
Has anyone actually had any success in installing the perl-Apache-ASP package
from rpmforge? CentOS 4 seems to have just the right combination of almost
using mod_perl 2 (1.99 before major API changes) to make this extremely hard
to get right while staying with somewhat standard packages. I suspect it's
in the repo but not actually tested, as I've tried quite a few combinations

CentOS4 and Apache-DBI
Has anybody gotten Apache-DBI to work under CentOS4?
My installed rpms are:
httpd-2.0.52-12.1.ent.centos4 (came with CentOS4)
mod_perl-1.99_16-4.centos4 (came with CentOS4)
perl-Apache-DBI-0.94-1.2.el4.rf (from Dag's site)
--this includes Apache::DBI and Apache::AuthDBI
In my '/etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf' file, I added:

Any repository maintaining Apache rpm with mod_perl for CentOS? How do I
maintain rpm installs from repos and also maintain ability to use
various mods that I would like to use? Or do I have to ./configure ;-)
With regards.

That must be someone?s backport. As someone who migrated a mod_perl based app off of mod_perl several years ago, I recommend that you do not use it, unless you have old

mod_perl and httpd2
I've got httpd and mod_perl installed, but I seem to have an
application that requires part of mod_perl that doesn't seem
to be properly installed into perl, notably, the 'Apache' portion.
To 'fix' this, cpan would like to install either mod_perl-1.29,
or alternatively to install mod_perl-2.0.2. 1.29 doesn't seem
smart, and 2.0.2 absolutely will not install over the

What is it using instead?
The rh-httpd24 does not seem to use a more recent version of
perl.

Apache + auth_mod_kerb + Active Directory = SSO
Hey List,
I have been setting up SSO on our Intranet Apache server. All seems
well, I think I have just about cracked it but it seems a little rough
around the edges;
I enabled auth_mod_kerb, and created a test directory in my web root
(/secure) and added a directory directive under the httpd.conf, I
created a user in Active Ditectory, used ktpass.exe to map the user to
the service principal and

Memory use: WEBrick vs Apache
Hello,
>From purely a memory consumption standpoint, is it generally more
efficient to run a simple Rails app using WEBrick alongside a separate
apache installation or to run Rails under FCGI and use Apache to bridge
to the Web?
I have looked through lots of docs and old forum posts. Most seem to
center on just getting Apache+Rails running, or on speed.
I am really not concerned about my

Proxy from Apache to local Lighttpd instance
Hello,
I''m having a serious problem proxying from Apache (2.2) to local Lighttpd
servers. I need this to run Rails instances on www.mysite.com/rails next to
the regular part from www.mysite.com.
Currently I get a working www.mysite.com/rails for only the first page,
controllers do not work. I am quite desperate in getting this to work as it
is the only way I can run Rails at our
