apps api?

speex 1.1.7 crashes asterisk 1.0.6
Hello, I've installed speex 1.1.7 and asterisk 1.0.6 from Gentoo's Portage and I'm experiencing asterisk crashes whenever I try to make a connection from my X-Lite client under wine to asterisk using the speex codec. I know speex is being attempted because SPX lights up on the X-Lite display. Also, I know that speex is causing the crash because X-Lite works fine if I use GSM, ILBC,

gsm player for Linux?
Hello, Does anyone know of an audio player for Linux that will play asterisk's GSM files? I know I can convert them using sox, but I'm hoping to play them natively so I can test out some voicemail settings. Thanks! -- Jesse Guardiani, Systems Administrator WingNET Internet Services, P.O. OpenSSH and Kerberos / Active Directory authentication problems: Credentials cache permission incorrect / No Credentials Cache found
Greetings, I'm working on the infrastructure of a medium size client/server environment using an Active Directory running on Windows Server 2003 for central authentication of users on linux clients. Additionally OpenAFS is running using Kerberos authentication through Active Directory as well. Now I want to grant users remote access to their AFS data by logging in into a central OpenSSH

X100P interrupt load
Hello, Can anyone tell me what the "normal" number of interrupts per second is for an X100P card? I've used FreeBSD 5.3 and a linux 2.6.11 kernel on the exact same hardware (only the disk changed) and `systat -vmstat 1` on FreeBSD and `procinfo -dS -n1` under Linux. For both, I'm seeing roughly 1000 interrupts per second on my X100p card. It was a bit worse under FreeBSD, and I

X100P voicemail volume too low (quiet)
Hello, I'm running Asterisk 1.0.6 with zaptel 1.0.6 on Gentoo Linux with a 2.6.11-gentoo-r2 SMP kernel (but no SMP hardware) and mpg123 0.59s-r9. When I leave a voicemail message via my X100P, the message is way too quiet. I can barely hear it. I googled this a bit, and I saw similar complaints with older versions, but no resolutions. Also, many complained that it was only too quiet via

Kerberized Telnet Badly Broken (Patch enclosed)
Ugh. With MAKE_KERBEROS5=yes, on a recent STABLE, I get the following trying to use Kerberized telnet: # telnet -l test big.x.kientzle.com Trying 66.166.149.54... Connected to big.x.kientzle.com. Escape character is '^]'. [ Trying mutual KERBEROS5 (host/big.x.kientzle.com@X.KIENTZLE.COM)... ] Bus error (core dumped) Fortunately, it's pretty easy to track down: (gdb) up #2

spandsp 0.0.2pre25
Hello, Is anyone successfully using spandsp 0.0.2pre25 with either asterisk 1.0.x or 1.2.4? I've built a Gentoo ebuild for this version of spandsp and app_rtxfax, and it builds, but I'm not having any luck getting it working. 99% of my test faxes fail. Reverting to 0.0.2pre20 yields a much higher success rate. I've bumped the console debugging level in logger.conf to include debug

KerberosIV support
Hi All, The OpenBSD tree is likely to be dropping KerberosIV support very soon. We will ultimately follow suit, but if there are many Krb4 users we may give a transition period of a release or two. AFAIK we don't compile at all against MIT KrbIV because of library conflicts. So, who is using OpenSSH Krb4 support at the moment? -d

Kerberized applications in FreeBSD 5.x
In FreeBSD 5.x only telnet/telnetd works 'out of box' with kerberos. Why ftp/ftpd, ssh/sshd and cvs do not support kerberos ? Thanks!

ignore a DID?
Hello, What is the best way to ignore a DID and not pick up the line? I don't want to incur charges on the line (T1 PRI), so would Hangup pick up the line, then hang up? Or can I use Hangup? Thanks!

wcmd - CALL doesn't honor PATH
Hello, I noticed this while attempting to run a DOS software suite. The CALL command in wcmd doesn't seem to honor the set PATH. If I put this in my environment (via regedit): c:\windows;c:\windows\system;e:\;e:\test;f:\;f:\downloads\daphne\tools Then I put the following in f:\downloads\daphne\tools\bob.bat: path c:\windows;c:\windows\system;e:\;e:\test;f:\;f:\downloads\daphne\tools

RHEL3, winbind, "Error looking up domain users"
Hello, I've been attempting to get this working all day. :) I have an RHEL3 machine connected to a Windows 2000 PDC as a domain member. I'm running samba 3.0.21c, compiled from an SRPM: # rpm -q samba samba-3.0.21c-1 When I try to list my users, I get this: # wbinfo -u Error looking up domain users Exit 1 Similarly, `getent passwd` fails to show any SMB users. But `getent passwd

Kerberos in the handbook
Is anyone currently working on updating the Kerberos documentation in the Handbook? if so, I'd like to help. If not, I'm hoping to find someone who can get me up to speed on the FreeBSD docbook extensions :-) -T -- "The truly paranoid administrator may wish to place motion detectors in the air ducts." - Practical UNIX & Internet Security, 2nd Edition

openafs kernel module
We start to use centos 5 for our workstation at our site (University Innsbruck) and we use openafs to hold the home directories. There would be a big advantage to have the openafs kernel module (and the additional rpms) in the centos extras (or addons) repository with an automatic compile for the available kernels. If you need any help to do this i would be happy to participate in any way.

You just can't link it into the GPL kernel program. [ I'm not posting this to cross you. But someone correct me if I'm wrong. ] There is nothing in the GPL that prevents a GPL
