Hi,
I was doing updates on a server and I think that the network connection
got reset. So I guess the yum update didn't complete and I now get this

mongrel + mysql can't connect in custom mysql install
Hi all...
The linux box I am working on I do not have root access to, and given I
am at a government site all hope of that is lost.
I have installed the mysql gem as follows:
env ARCHFLAGS="-arch x86_64" gem install mysql --
--with-mysql-config=/home/t192zcs/mysql/mysql-5.1.39-linux-x86_64-icc-glibc23/bin/mysql_config

Installing mysql with macports
Not sure if this is off topic, but there doesn''t seem to be an obvious
place to ask this question.
I am trying to use MacPorts to install mysql. I have xcode 3.0 and

When I sudo port install mysql5-server

cacti on centos
Hi all,
I'm trying to get Cacti installed on my CentOS 4.3 x86_64 box. I've
got all of required packages installed, and created database file, and
followed all the instructions in install manual.
However, when I get login screen and use admin for username/password,
it simply redirects me straight back to login screen. Looking at
user_log table, the authentication was

MySQL 4.1 on Centos 5 ?
Hi All,
Could anyone tell me, how to correctly install MySQL4.1 on Centos 5 ?
By default Centos 5 comes with mysql5? If I will compile mysql4 from
sources to separate prefix, some features may be unavailable (unix
sockets for example).
I?m moving some critical application (online booking) based on java,
tomcat5, mysql4.1 from old server fedora 4 to new server running Centos
5. So, I don?t
