virDBusCallMethod:1173 : Launch helper exited with unknown return code
Good morning,
I'm using libvirtd on Gentoo.
This is libvirt version: 1.1.3.1
I have trouble starting a VM using virsh start $vm. I do this as root, because as non-root user it did not work at all (especially it failed attaching to the networks). So, when I run the command (with sudo), I get the following error in libvirtd.log:

libvirt call qemu to create vm need more than 10 seconds
Hi all:
It takes more than 10 seconds to create a vm on a Dell R830 machine, but it takes less than 2 seconds on other machines. This is not normal, so I turned on the debug log for libvirtd. I analyzed the log and found that the time was spent on libvirtd calling qemu. Thread 95225 calls the qemuProcessLaunch interface at 14:22:30.129 and then builds the emulator command line, but the

Libvirt Error Creating VMs for Nimbus Cloud
Hello,
I am having an issue with libvirt in my Nimbus cloud setup. When I use the
Nimbus VM creation test scripts on a VMM node (using libvirt), the VM is
created without a problem. However, when I attempt to create a new VM using
Nimbus (which then tries to create the VM on the VMM node), I encounter the
following error:

PCI passthrough troubles
Hello,
I have been struggling as of late to successfully configure a pci
passthrough using libvirt with kvm. Hoping someone can shed some light on
the problem. Overall my experience with virtualization limited is so please
forgive. The guest runs fine till passthrough is configured. I am using
virt-manager. This has been tried on both a Fedora17 x86_64 and Arch Linux
x86_64 build with pretty much

Sometimes libvirt fails to update domain block file after blockcommit.
Posted to https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1217185
I just stumbled on another bug while snapshotting and think it's related
to 1210903 and 1197592 as it seems like some sort of race condition
because it depends on what logging is in place and doesn't happen every
time.
Here are the details:
I wrote this test script to snapshot and commit over and over:

Libvirt guest can't boot up when use ceph as storage backend with Selinux enabled
Hi there,
I met one problem that guest fail to boot up when Selinux is enabled with guest storage
based on ceph. However, I can boot the guest with qemu directly. I also can boot it up
with Selinux disabled. Not sure it is a libvirt bug or wrong use case.
1. Enable Selinux

psychometric functions
Hi,
I want to fit some psychophysical data with cumulative gaussians. There is
quite a convenient toolbox for matlab called 'psignifit' (formerly known as
'psychofit'). It allows the lower bound of the sigmoid to vary slightly from
zero, aswell as the upper bound to vary from one. with these two free
parameters, the fitted function is less sensitive to noisy data and
outliers.
