LUA
I am attempting to setup my server to use Lua for the dialplan (extentions.lua), but I am unable to get the asterisk configure script to find the installation of Lua on my box. I have downloaded the Lua sources from the www.lua.org site, and I have installed via the "make linux install" command. I can execute lua scripts via the command line, but asterisk configure script is unable to

[Fwd: Re: issues with caller ID , remote-party-id
Hello ppl, Sorry to re-post it, but kinda these issues are getting on my nerves. I tried Set(CALLERID(num)=7329) on 1.2.12, which works fine, but not on 1.4.4. The problem : 1. I receive call from caller 'AAA' on my number, 'BBB' which is on my Asterisk box. 2. I have to redirect the call to some other number, say, my cell num - 'CCC'. 3. My PSTN provider wants the

[PATCH node] Hostname is now properly persisted between reboots. rhbz#504166
The o-c-hostname script now checks to see if local storage has been configured. If it has not then the script exits with an error. Otherwise, after the user enters a hostname, the /etc/script/network file is persisted. Signed-off-by: Darryl L. [PATCH] Allow the initramfs to be persisted across root changes
systemd supports switching back to the initramfs during shutdown in order to make it easier to clean up the root file system. This is desirable in order to allow us to remove keys from RAM before rebooting, making it harder to obtain confidential information by rebooting into an environment that scrapes RAM contents. Newbie here. Tips on setting up 100 phones wanted.
I'm looking at setting up Asterisk for a completely IP environment. All intercompany calls. I work for a ski area. I currently use a 3Com Superstack for in our office. And an old small town phone system for up at the mountain. The phone system is dying and I'm hoping to bring IP to replace the old phones. It will be about 100 phones at about 20 locations all within about 4 miles of each

samba 207 on solaris - idiot newbie questions
Hello all. I've decided to try using samba on our Solaris systems to give users who are stuck with PCs on their desks access to our gis data. I obtained a compiled binary package of version 2.0.7 from one of the samba.org sites, and have installed SAMBAroot, SAMBAusr, SAMBAman, and SAMBAdoc. All apparently worked just fine. I've made a couple of changes to the smb.conf file, changing

Plot with Julian dates.
Dear Sir/Madam: I simply want to draw x-y plot with Julian dates (x) and numbers (y). Please see below for my program. In the older version of R, the plot(jdat, miles) worked without any problem. But, with the new version of R, plot(jdat, miles) does not work any more. So, I added log="" option (as far as I know, it is a default setting, so log="" should not be needed).

Problem cooperating with Windows and AD
Hi, I'm having a problem getting my Windows machines to access shares in Samba. When they browse to the Samba box it sometimes gives them an error saying that they don't have permission or that the server is unavailable. However this doesn't always happen and other times it lists the shares. When I try to access the shares it just prompts for the username/password over and over.

Messenger app dies (Ubuntu 9.04 Jaunty)
I downloaded Beyluxe Messenger (a small group instant messaging program). Installation apparently went fine; no errors. Then I tried to launch the app. The "Starting Beyluxe Messenger..." bar appeared at the bottom of the screen, but suddenly died without result. I ran wine from the terminal and got this: jacob at jacob-laptop:~$ wine start 'C:\Program Files\Beyluxe

help with coef
Hi, I am trying to get R to return just the slope of a linear regression line, but it seems that R has to return both the slope and the name of the slope. For example, > a=coef(lm(y~miles)) > a (Intercept) miles 360.3778 -7.2875 > names(a) [1] "(Intercept)" "miles" > a[1] (Intercept) 360.3778 > a[2] miles -7.2875 I don't understand the

Question about SPEEX_PREPROCESS_SET_DENOISE
I just download the 1.1.5. And it is working well. I try the xxx_int functions at least it works. But I did not find the performance improvement. But when I try this: m_pPreprocess= speex_preprocess_state_init(m_nSamplesPerFrame, m_nSampleRate); speex_preprocess_ctl(m_pPreprocess, SPEEX_PREPROCESS_SET_DENOISE, &tmp); and add speex_preprocess(m_pPreprocess, buf,
