I'm a little late to the game on this. Just upgraded a few of our Samba servers to Ubuntu 24.04 and was pleased to see ntpsec... And today I see that time is not syncing on the windows machines. Hey Andrew, mssntp could be the word that I miss. If I remember right, my ntpd.conf is not restricted to mssntp as the wiki says. I have to check that. OK, it seems to be an authentication issue. At least w.r.t. the member server. When I add the user name, it does ask me for the password and succeeds.
