strwidth and strheight for rotated text
Dear All,
I would like to plot text with a box around it. I used strwidth and
strheight to compute the size of the box which is plotted with rect:
z <- rnorm(10)
# horizontal text works
plot(rnorm(10))
x1 <- 5
y1 <- 0
label <- "Label"
cha <- paste(" ", label, " ", sep = "")
xh <- strwidth(cha, cex = par("cex"))

How to Retain Ownership on webdir
Hi,
I have this webroot /webdir/ with 2775 permission so that any created
file/directory by apache inside of /webdir/ will be 'users:webusers'.
However, I noticed when the apache created a new files (fileB) / directories
(dirB), the ownership becomes 'apache:apache' and the sgid has gone for
/webdir/ (drwxrwxr-x). I'm currently using Wordpress.

Shared maildir through namespace help...
Hi,
I'm a happy user of dovecot since the 0.99.x days, and recently switched
my user base to 1.0b2.
Now, to the point, I got a request (from marketing) to share a lot of
maildirs between two (and possibly more) accounts. Those two accounts
have differents uid/gid. The maildirs are actually in one of the
account.
I thought I could possibly craft a public namespace for those maildirs

losing AD user & group information
Hello,
A few weeks ago we started joining some remote servers to our AD domain
as member servers. Several times now we have come back to them and found
ownership settings missing like the following.

clipping off words inside a vector of strings
Hi,
I have a vector of strings (class character) with 6 elements (length
6). I call it 'names'.
"Graham Chapman"
"John Cleese"
"Terry Gilliam"
"Eric Idle"
"Terry Jones"
"Michael Palin"
And I want to turn it into another vector of strings called
'shortnames' with the same length.
The new vector should look like:

[BUG] Incorrect maildir quota value after maildirsize creation
I found a problem with maildir++ quota. When dovecot creates maildirsize
file, it counts quota wrong. This is, how I reproduce a situation on
version 1.2.0:
First, I remove maildirsize file:
# cd /var/mail/test
# rm -f maildirsize
# ls -la

Working with lists with numerical names
Greetings!
I'm have a hard time working with some data I imported from a baseball
database. Several of the database columns have numbers in them (2B,
3B), and when I try to use these vectors from the data frame, I get
syntax errors, probably because it's interpreting the name as a number:

Shared mailboxes (maildir, symlinks) and permissions
Hello list,
I am trying to set up a public mailbox for users to put spam in so that
sa-learn can do its job at night. Only I can't seem to fully understand how
and which permissions should be set. I've read [1] and am using Dovecot
1.0.1.
First some background information: I do not host or care (at the moment) about
virtual users or virtual mail hosting. All users have Unix system

Thought so, that is your problem, I suggest you use a Linux filesystem
(ext4 or btrfs etc )

Thanks for the quick response. I am a little bit confused. The USB drive
was formatted in NTFS and has a few hundred music albums on it. Does it
mean that I have to reformat my USB drive?

2 samples KS-test...
Dear R-users,
I have some trouble to perform a 2-samples KS test.
Apparently my 2 samples are numerical (see below) but R
complains that the "y" term is not....

as.environment.list provides inconsistent results under torture
Hello,
Using R-devel (rev 53950), I get inconsistent results with
as.environment( VECSXP ) when gctorture is on.
Consider:
a <- list( aa = rnorm, bb = runif )
gctorture(TRUE)
as.environment( a )
The last line sometimes produces the correct environment, but sometimes
I get errors. Here are the three situations:
# good

roaming profiles odd.
using samba 3.14a, windows xp sp2 configured with roaming profiles.
the profile seems to download properly but the start menu seems to be
empty of shortcuts.
anything tht requires reading of files seems to be acting strangely
the files exist on the server but somehow they are not read on the
workstation
all of the /profiles/username directories are configured exactly the same.
