anyone else have a <sys/stat.h> that DOESN'T #include <sys/types.h> ?
I'm porting openssh 3.7.1p2 to a very BSD 4.4-ish system. My first hint of a problem was that configure said it couldn't find <sys/types.h> and that the sizes of char, int, etc were 0 (zero). It turned out that "confdefs.h" had HAVE_SYS_STAT_H defined, but not HAVE_SYS_TYPES_H, resulting in code such as the following to fail to compile on a system where sys/stat.h does

gnlr3 location parameter
Hi list, my previous question was obviously too basic to deserve an answer - apologies for that. I'm learning, things can only get better :-) My current problem is with fitting a generalized gamma distribution with an additional "shift" parameter, that represents a shift of the distribution along the X axis. The gnlr3 function (in Jim Lindsey's GNLM package) fits this

Book on Postfix/Dovecot or Postfix/Dovecot/Clam/Spam Assassin?
I'm looking for a book on Postfix/Dovecot or Postfix/Dovecot/Clam/Spam Assassin The blog posts and the mini-HowTo's I am reading lack the detail to be useful to me (due to my own ignorance). Amazon does not list any books for sale. There are some hits when searching for Dovecot, but I expect them to be one section with the quality of a blog post or mini-HowTo. (I have two books on Red

-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Hi all, Apologies if a duplicate message. I initially sent the following from a non-subscribed email address (my usual address, but not the one that works when I'm having trouble with mail). First, I'm pretty sure I screwed up something with dovecot. The symptom appears in both thunderbird and mutt. I'm moving my server from a VPS to a

Wxruby Homepage Hijacked
Hi, It seems like the wxruby homepage has been replaced by a mortgage broker. I do need to refinance, but I was more interested in some documentation on wxruby. Is this a sign that the project is fading into oblivion? If so, I would really like to know what new cross-platform library people are using for developing ruby desktop applications. Josh

(--delay-updates and --partial) re-hashing the already downloaded files?
I am backing up a LARGE data set, over a very unstable internet connection. I NEED to --delay-updates, because I do a flash cut-over once everything has transferred. Yes I know --copy-dest does this, but if the connection breaks, anything that's already made it over gets put into place (not what I want), I need it to go from beginning to end, And then I handle the files seperately. If I
