Building an LLVM/CLANG cross compiler for legacy GCC toolchain
Hello,
I need to build a CLANG cross compiler for mips-linux-uclibc. To be
completely compatible with the target system, I would like it to use linux
2.6.32.54 headers, binutils 2.25, gcc 4.1.2, and uClibc 0.9.30.1 for the
gcc toolchain. I have been able to build the GCC toolchain a variety of
different ways, but none of these builds can be "dropped in" via clang as a
replacement for

[resent][PATCH/liboggz] Fix an issue with the symlinks for pre-0.9.9 tool names
When files with pre-0.9.9 tool names exists in $(exec_prefix)/bin,
"make DESTDIR=${staging_dir} install" tries to delete them, which
may cause a failure for lack of permissions (quite likely to happen
when building a package as a normal user), and is wrong anyway
(nothing outside of DESTDIR should ever be changed by "make install").
With this patch, it will now cd to

Issues compiling syslinux-3.72 on Linux 2.6.25(.19)
Howdy.
I'm one of the maintainers of Astlinux (www.astlinux.org). We're
updating the kernel from 2.6.20, to 2.6.25 (.19), and as such, some
packages that previously compiled stopped doing so.
We also went from syslinux-3.63 to syslinux-3.72, hoping that a newer
version would be more amenable to a more recent kernel.
No joy.
We're cross-compiling on FC8 (updated) on an i386

Command died with signal 11: "/usr/lib/dovecot/deliver"
Hello
I have problem with deliver dying with signal 11. I'm using postfix +
dovecot devliver. If mailbox have many (100+) redirects in sieve or many
other sieve rules deliver died. I have tested this in debian etch +
dovecot 1.1.18 (compiled from sources) and debian lenny + dovecot 1.1.13
from backports.

Binary locations
Where do you think the following binaries should be installed to? The
possible locations are:
- bin/
- sbin/
- libexec/dovecot/ (or lib/dovecot/ in most Linux distros)
So the binaries are:
1) These probably belong to bin/ or sbin/ or both:
- authtest
- dovecotpw
- doveadm
2) Binaries that you might want to call from mail_executable setting:
- rawlog
- gdbhelper
3) Index file dumping

Cross compiling - size of binaries is large
Hi,
I have cross compiled samba 3.3.8 for arm, which succeeded.
However, the size of the resulting binaries is large (few MB's per binary) so
the total installation of samba sums to over 50 megabytes, after stripping the
binaries.
For example, with samba 2.0.10, the size of smbd was 281 KB. With samba 3.3.8
that is 5.2 MB. Same goes for the other binaries. It looks as if there is a
chunk of

alternate rawlog directory
Hello,
In rc2 sources, the rawlog directory seem to be hard-coded to be
looked for in $HOME.
I'd like to have a way to centralized the place where rawlog files are, in order to be able :
. to rotate them more easily
. not to leave them at the user's reach
. not to have to enter the user's directory to read them
I'd like to have a layout similar to this :

Some issues in Dovecot 1.2.5 after upgrade from 1.0.15
We upgraded from Dovecot 1.0.15 to 1.2.5 last night, on Solaris 10 using
mboxes, mostly without issues.
However I had to trash the index/cache files (too many folders were
showing corruption issues which is especially bad for Prayer Webmail
".prayer" folders that store preferences; Prayer sees a disconnection as
the folder being missing!).
I've had one imap process panic in mailbox

flush-btrfs-1 hangs when building openwrt
Hi,
Since update to 2.6.37 I can''t build openwrt on my btrfs buildroot anymore.
I''m not sure if this is related to the other flush-btrfs-1 thread.
plenty of diskspace is free:
/dev/mapper/cruor-build
97G 68G 27G 73% /opt/build
It always hangs when openwrt builds the ext4 image and runs tune2fs on it.
