Dovecot Replication Errors (only) when using tcps: as the mail_replica Protocol
Hello,
I have two mail servers and am also experiencing sporadic replication
errors over tcps, similar to Reuben. Each server is running Dovecot
2.3.11.3 (502c39af9) on Debian 10.6.

Dsync replication - delayed replication (Sync lock)
Hi,
*Our setup:*
Two Debian 10 machines that are setup to replicate mail between them, we
have round robin DNS setup so a user can connect to either server.
*What should happen:*
Mail is delivered to either server and replicated across straight away
to their mailbox on the other server so it does not matter which one
they are connected to they will receive it fairly soon after delivery.

Dovecot dsync tcps sends incomplete certificate chain
Hi,
I'm trying to configure a Dovecot dsync service between two servers, using a tcp+ssl connection and
a valid Let's Encrypt certificate.
I followed the guide on the wiki (http://wiki.dovecot.org/Replication) using the tcps method, but
when I launch the replication it fails writing on the log (/var/log/mail.err):
(Server 1 - sync "client" )| Error: sync: Disconnected from

Dovecot Replication Errors (only) when using tcps: as the mail_replica Protocol
Hi,
I've been seeing errors logged for some time with replication processes,
whereby replication sessions seem to be timing out periodically.
This is with dovecot version 2.3.10.1 (a3d0e1171) and both are Gentoo
x86_64.
After some investigation I've determined that these timeouts are only
ever occurring with tcps as the replication connection type. These
errors never occur if

TCP replication: high connection rate and looping in incomplete state
Hi,
I am trying to establish TCP(s)-based replication between two FreeBSD 11.1 machines, both running Dovecot 2.2.35 (via pkg) with 10 virtual users and 1.2GB maildir. I followed the Wiki description (https://wiki2.dovecot.org/Replication), just skipped the SSH part. My resulting configurations are attached below.
Problem: After reloading both Dovecot instances, a few seconds later they start to

Sieve replication - Debian 9.11 - Dovecot 2.2.7 - script changes not replicated
Hi,
I am trying to setup Sieve replication, it is almost working:
1/ Create a script - sync'd across
2/ Activate/de-activate a script - change sync'd
3/ Delete a script - change sync'd
But if I make a change to a script it is not replicated, unless I
de-activate and activate again.
I am seeing in the logs the below during this process

dsync SSL fails since 2.2.15
Hello list,
dovecot ran rock-solid on OSX Mavericks for about 1 year replicating my mail between 2 servers via dsync with SSL as that is well described here: http://wiki2.dovecot.org/Replication
After upgrading to 2.2.15, dsync gets stuck with the Error: "Received invalid SSL certificate" even though neither any of the dovecot configs nor the certs, keys or the CA have changed!

Configure replication in backup mode
Dovecot 2.2.27 (c0f36b0)
I'm trying to configure dovecot to backup all my email to a secondary
server using "dsync".
I got it working in "sync" mode or two-way synchonization, that means
whatever happens in one server gets replicated in the other.
However, documentation also says that a one way synchronization is
posible, yet, after spending a good amount of hours

Sieve replication - does not replicate

I have two servers replicating mail as required, the directory structure

Replication Slave is not auto-creating domain/user folders
Hey all,
I'm experiencing a weird and annoying issue with my 2-node dovecot
replication setup.
The setup is based on virtual users in a pgsql database, which is
replicated from the master to a slave node. For the mails I rely on
the dovecot builtin replication which has been working great for me
thus far.
However I noticed something was off when looking through my journal
yesterday:

ipv4 imap not accepting connections in mixed ipv4/ipv6
I have two installations of dovecot 2.18, apart from the necessary
changes to allow them to replicate amongst themselves the configs are
identical. Both are running Ubuntu 14.04 and are kept up to date. One is
running 64bit and the other 32 bit (for historical reasons). Both have
ipv4 and ipv6 addresses.
The 64 bit installation allows access on port 143 and 993 on both ipv4
and ipv6.

Replication sieve scripts.
Hi,
according to changelog 2.2.rc3, dsync should replicate sieve scripts. Do
I need turn on or switch some option(s), for this to work? Replication
of mailboxes works great, only sieve scripts not.

Hi,
I'm trying to get dovecot working with postgres, I'm on Debian 10 and have installed dovecot-pgsql from the Dovecot repo (https://repo.dovecot.org/ce-2.3-latest/debian/....).
I have the following in my local.conf :
passdb sql {

And the following in the referenced file:

Expunged message reappeared, giving a new UID
I am running dovecot 2.2.2 with tcp based replication, and experiencing
some duplicated emails. `doveconf -n` output is below.
I have narrowed it down to the following scenario:
An email arrives, and is successfully replicated to both nodes. It is in
INBOX/new/ at this point on both servers.
Connect with a mail client, and delete the message - without delayed
expunge. So, for example, mutt

replication delays
I have two dovecot instances that replicate to each other. Mail arrives
into "post" and it is generally accessed via IMAP on "france". Changes
(moves/expunge etc) on "france" seem to replicate back to "post" more or
less immediately. But this seems to happen only for this user. (Some)
other users' (e.g. me) mail generally replicates more or less

Sieve-scripts won't replicate
Hi,
I am trying to use dovecot replication for a two-way sync. And whatever
I do, sieve-scripts won?t replicate. Mails replicate near
instantaneous. When I disable the sieve-script in roundcube, the other
server will create in the home of the user on the other side a folder
sieve/tmp but enabling won?t create the roundcube.sieve and the
symlink .dovecot.sieve -> sieve/roundcube.sieve

Mail replication fails between v2.2.27 and v2.3.4.1
Hello,
I have two installations of dovecot configured to replicate mailboxes
between them. recently, i upgraded the operating system on one of them
(mx2.example.com) and now i'm running one installation on version 2.2.27
(debian stretch) and another on version 2.3.4.1 (mx1.example.com debian
buster).
My setup includes 3 shared namespaces that point to the mailboxes of 3
accounts. these
