outgoing domu network dies after a while
I have a OpenSuse 10.3 with xen 3.1.0 running and it''s been running fine
for a few months.
This past weekend it suddenly started to act up and after some
troubleshooting I can now say that it seems like the guests(domU) loose
the outgoing network pipe, from the console I can see that the TX
counter is stuck at the same value but it''s no errors. It behaves as if

Problems with gpxelinux and Broadcom 57711
Hello.
We are using gpxelinux from SYSLINUX 4.02. We recently purchased some HP
Proliant BL460c G6 servers with Broadcom BCM 57711 10Gbit NICS.
We have a very simple pxelinux.gpxe script compiled into gpxelinux.0:
#!gpxe
set use-cached 1
dhcp net0
chain http://webserver/gpxe/gpxe.php?IP=${net0/ip}
The PHP script dynamically creates a config file that looks something
like this:
#!gpxe

HP proliant bl460c G7 on CentOS
Hi list,
I have installed CentOS on an hp proliant blade server, bl 460c g7, after
installing I've seen that network is not working properly. It recognises
around 8 interfaces (?), mii-tool says that there is not any link present
on those, and there's only 2 NIC' per bay.
I've searched on Hp support page but there's only one driver for storage.
Does anybody has had the same

need advice: runing gpxelinux.0 without tftp
Hi,
?I happily use gpxelinux.0 in subnets where nic-embedded pxe stack can
load it from a tftp server pointed by the dhcp daemon.
Now I'd like to know the best way to run gpxelinux.0 in a special
subnets, where no tftp trafic is allowed, http is served through a
reverse proxy, and dhcp is ok.
I tried "gpxe on local media (rom/iso/floppy/usb) -> gpxelinux.0" with
limited success

temporary fix for gpxelinux.0 not doing localboot
As I had noted in the past gpxelinux.0 fails (on most of my machines)
at localboot 0 where as pxelinux.0 works with localboot 0 (on all of
my machines)
I needed to do local boot by default (not first hard drive but local
boot where it ends pxe booting and looks at the next device)
I also had a few iso images that took too long while downloading from
tftp and I wanted to use gpxelinux.0 with its

Is it possible to rewrite DHCP setting for sanboot.c32 after gpxelinux.0 load?
Will be nice to have this possibility because:
1. DHCP can be ?black box?.
2. DHCP admin not available.
3. PXE server rewrite dhcp setting.
I cannot boot from cdrom after pxe(gpxelinux.0) ? please help.

[gPXE] localboot 0 hang on some machines with gpxelinux.0
I'm bringing back an old thread, but I'm still having problem with this:
http://etherboot.org/pipermail/gpxe/2010-March/000571.html
The summary of that thread is that with gpxelinux.0, on some computers
the command LOCALBOOT 0 will hang the computer. Around the same time
as the original thread, there was a patch to add localboot -1. Also in
the original thread, it was proposed to use

gpxelinux and cramfs
Hello all-
I'm very new to the whole idea of booting a machine from a network
server, so please go easy on me until I can get my head wrapped
around it all.
I have a boot image that I want to be able to serve over the wire to
client machines. I have a kernel and a file system image that I've
put on a USB stick, and it boots fine from there. However, I have
something strange happening

XP iscsi gpxelinux?
I have a working pxelinux environment.
I point the "boot server" (windows dhcp) to my tftp server and
"Bootfile name" to pxelinux.
How would I invoke the chain loader over iscsi?
I was reading the following page and wondering if I could use
gpxelinux to boot this?
http://etherboot.org/wiki/soc/2009/dverkamp/notes/windows_xp_iscsi
I saw examples of san boot here

Hello,
I'm trying to boot with a git snapshot using gpxelinux.0
When using 3.73 everything is fine.
When using 3.74pre1 and later I've got the following behavior :
The boot process is stopped just after displaying this line :

I can reproduce the problem under vmware server 1.0, and also on a server.

gpxelinux, chain.c32 and the freebsd bootloader
Hi there,
I have some troubles to boot a node with gpxelinux, chain.c32 and a
freebsd (version 7) bootloader installed on the /dev/sda3 part of my
node.
For information, it works fine with pxelinux.
In both cases, the version 3.73 of gpxelinux/pxelinux is used.

gpxelinux questions
Hi All,
I've been enjoying playing with gpxe and gpxelinux, however I have a
few questions that I'd love to get some answers for...
1) Will gpxelinux support chain loading of other NBPs without hanging
or is this already resolved ?
2) Why does gpxelinux take much longer than pxelinux to enumerate the
UUID, MAC address, then hex IP address chop ?
3) Can gpxelinux load gpxe scripts at all

lwIP hangs with gpxelinux.0 on qemu (-net user)
Has anyone played with the syslinux/lwip.git tree?
It works fine with pxelinux:
qemu -boot n -net nic -net user,bootfile=/pxelinux.0,tftp=/pxe
(although it hangs while trying to resolve www3.kernel.org because of
the lack of proper DNS with -net user)
The same command hangs earlier with gpxelinux.0 though:

[BISECT] gpxelinux.0 stalls at Trying to load: pxelinux.cfg/.....
While trying out gpxelinux.0, I realized that it didn't work in the
latest release candidate. This is what happens:
This is a screenshot from a VM: http://bsfh.ath.cx/gpxe.png
It hangs there for a long time.
I tried in two configurations:
1) Qemu KVM with tap networking, ISC dhcpd and tftp from iputils on the
host.
2) Desktop, dnsmasq from OpenWRT as dhcp/tftp server.

gpxelinux local disk boot does not work
I have a lab in which I keep all my computers set to try network boot
first that way it is easy to put a file in pxelinux.cfg of the mac
address of a faulty machine and have it build itself or run
diagnostics.
Up till recently I used pxelinux.0. I have been trying out gpxelinux
so that I can use its http fuctionality to download initrd images
faster to boot. I just discovered that its local boot

Enable debug messages for gpxelinux.0
All,
For several days, I've been trying to debug an issue booting a Windows 7 machine over iscsi (utilizing gpxelinux.0 and sanboot.c32).
?
??? - I can get it to function OK utilizing plain gPXE (so I know my iscsi config is OK and also the iscsi drive is OK).
??? - When utilizing gpxelinux, the system shows that the iscsi drive is mounting and trying to boot. However, at that point the
