xrandr HDMI-1 and DVI-D-1 disconnected - External monitor not detected
The important thing for display detection/setting proper modes/etc is
the kernel -- what kernel version are you using?
Separately, there has been a fix that affected VBIOSes found in NV96
cards, and it would not be a stretch to believe that a similar VBIOS
script could be found in a NV92 card. However the NV96 error condition
was different (everything detected fine, but no actual image

Compiz lockup with XRandr and External Monitors
Hello there -- I have an unusual bug that I recently discovered. I've
put several hours into making sure I can reproduce it everytime, but
the process seems so strange (and specific) that I feel I would be
laughed off of a bugzilla if I tried to post it. At any rate, I
thought I'd give a description of my situation.
First, disclaimers.
The software: Fedora 10, fresh install, GNOME

XRandR and Screen Resolution Again
Having spent all day researching xrandr and the use of metamodes, I want to know: Is there a way to monitor the wineserver process so that I can run xrandr immediately upon wineserver's termination? Correct me if I am wrong. I believe that is what I want done.
(My problem, like that of many others, is that a full-screen game leaves my display trashed. I've found the same solution,

SVIDEO and xrandr

I've been trying to get my n17 card to do SVIDEO tv out

It is close to working. The first issue is that it was outputting PAL, and I
found the module parameter and kernel boot config to change that:

xrandr HDMI-1 and DVI-D-1 disconnected - External monitor not detected
Hi List,
I'm stuck how to get a dual head monitor solution to work with Nouveau,
running openSUSE 13.1 on my hp8710w mobile workstation equipped with a
Nvidia graphical card. Beyond the built-in WUXGA display, an external
WQHD monitor is connected to the HDMI port on the graphical card and/or
to the dual link DVI-D on a hp docking station.
To compare with SLED11/Nvidia driver running in

fullscreen uses panning, and xrandr has cursor moving
I'm having a problem with games running in wine fullscreen with nvidia proprietary driver 185.18 under Fedora 11 64-bit.
My desktop resolution is 1920x1200, and when I run a game with 1280x960 fullscreen setup (like Halo for example), it changes resolution to 1280x960 and runs fullscreen as expected, but when I move the mouse toward the edge rapidly, it pans the game screen away as if
