Rack::Lint::LintError with latest camping and rack
I''m trying to use Camping from Magnus'' repo (1.9.300) but running the blog.rb example (or anything for that matter) gives me Rack::Lint::LintError at / Content-Length header was 0, but should be 548 Ruby C:/ruby-1.8.7/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/rack-0.9.1/lib/rack/lint.rb: in assert, line 16 Web GET localhost/ There are no errors on the camping output so I suspect something has

R and Forex
Hi all, I recently started learning about Forex and found this O'Reilly book in Barnes & Nobles about R. I bought it out of pure curiosity. I like what I see. However, I have a question. Has anyone tried to bring these two ideas together in a financial and trading sense? Are there any libraries or modules in R that can aid in this venture? --Yves [[alternative HTML version

Having difficulty exporting display
Hello, This is my issue, my remote machine (CentOS 6.3, hosted in Azure windows environment) has an application that I need to test on my local box (CentOS 6.4, a laptop behind a router). Now, this is what I'm doing and the issue that I'm encountering: Local: $ xhost + $ ssh -X someusername at somehostname.net -p 49283 Remote: $ export DISPLAY=192.168.1.6:0.0 $ xclock ... and nothing,

enlarging partition and its filesystem
Hi all! I've got a VM at work running C6 on HyperV (no, its not my fault, that's what the company uses. I'd rather gag myself than own one of th ose things.) I ran out of disk space in the VM, so the admin enlarged the virtual disk. but now I realize I don't know how to enlarge the partition and its filesystem. I'll be googling, but in case I miss it, it'd be great if

Cannot get rtorrent to run
If I'm writing about this in the wrong place, please let me know. However, when I uninstalled rtorrent and then re-installed it, I kept getting this very same error: $ rtorrent foobar.torrent rtorrent: symbol lookup error: rtorrent: undefined symbol: _ZN7torrent10ThreadBase8m_globalE Why is this happening?

lost a lvm after update to Centos6.6
Hello All, the update to Centos6.6 got interrupted on a laptop. I then did this: package-cleanup --cleandupes yum-complete-transaction and remove and reinstall the latest kernel. I now get an error message when booting: /dev/mapper/vg_jvermeulen-lv_home does not exist. I can boot into single user mode and run all commands. in fdisk -l .....lv_home is not listed. How can I re-add this? I do

Looking for a life-save LVM Guru
Dear All, I am in desperate need for LVM data rescue for my server. I have an VG call vg_hosting consisting of 4 PVs each contained in a separate hard drive (/dev/sda1, /dev/sdb1, /dev/sdc1, and /dev/sdd1). And this LV: lv_home was created to use all the space of the 4 PVs. Right now, the third hard drive is damaged; and therefore the third PV (/dev/sdc1) cannot be accessed anymore. I would like

Issues when volume is full
I''ve been using btrfs as a spool space on our back-up server to get familiar with it and things work fine until the volume fills up. Our backup software (bacula) usually spools until the volume is full, then despools and respools, etc. With btrfs, it fills up and bacula thinks there is still space so it keeps trying and then finally errors out. I thought this was a problem because I was

Bug Report: ACL plugin searches wrong directory with shared folders
I've been attempting to get to get Shared Folders and ACL's to work under dovecot 1.0rc17. Unfortunately, I've run into some problems (many have already been mentioned on the list), specifically the problem where folder-specific ACL files are not found (and I will not use Global ACL's due to the 100% probability of cross-namespace mailbox name conflicts). My namespace

Resizing ext4 fedora qemu guest
Hi, I have a fedora14 host with a fedora15 guest and I'm trying to resize the /home partition from 200GB to 240GB. I'm relatively new to the virsh/guestfish commands, as well as LVM, although I think I have a reasonable understanding. I have followed the virt-resize directions (http://libguestfs.org/virt-resize.1.html), but it still shows 200GB: # fdisk -l /dev/mapper/vg_custserv-lv_home

Disk Performance Issue
We have a very old Dell desk top machine that has been running CentOS 6 for the past five years.? It received a new, 1 TB disk and additional memory before the OS installation.? It has been the primary Linux machine in our smallest and most remote field office.? It has been updated at least once a week and has all current dates installed. Boot-up this morning lasted about six times as long as

Dovecot rc23 and rc24 freeze after authentication
I had our production systems running on rc23, however we ran into problems when the server was under heavy load. Eventually, the server would begin to freeze all imap connection after authentication (according to the logs). A user would connect, authentication would succeed, and then the connection would sit until timing out. No error logs were produced. Upgrading to rc24 did not

Where did yum install monodevelop?
Hello all, I'm running CentOS 6.4. Today I tried installing monodevelop and this is the result of the installation: http://bin.cakephp.org/view/258829139 Now. When I went to my terminal and ran monodevelop... nothing. When I tried to locate the actual executable by running find . -name "*monodevelop*" (kinda overkill, but figured that I'd get this option out of the way), I
