Add Win2008R2 DC to Samba4 domain
Has anyone successfully added a Win2008R2 DC to a Samba4 domain?
The issue I am encountering is the sysvol/netlogon shares are not created. I can manually create them and copy files, but as soon as I demote/forcefully remove the Samba4 server, the Win2008R2 server refuses to serve requests for the domain. I cannot even manage it through ADUC.

Samba 4.1.6 vs Win2008R2 FSMO roles
Hi,
we're using Zentyal 3.4/Samba 4.1.6 on two machine for our AD domain.
We have to test the domain in "pure" microsoft environment, because a third
party storage system.
So I added DC and DNS role to one of our windows 2008R2, and joined it to
our domain. Everything's fine at this point.
Then I wanted transfer the 5 FSMO role to windows. Every role transferred
successfully,

I'm sure it does, that's why I suspect something is wrong in my

Check the DNS settings for the sambom.Local zone where it is located ForestDnsZone or DomainDnsZone.
Must be in DomainDnsZone
also it is necessary to make sure that in ForestDnsZone there is a zone _msdcs.sambom.local

Is your hypervisor running CentOS 6 or 7?

Migrating user accounts Samba 3.5.3 to Windows 2003 (2008)
Hi all,
I need some help with the following problem:
I need to migrate a bunch of user accounts to another domain on a Windows 2003
server (eventually to 2008R2, but that step seemed to big to do in one go).
To keep all access rights etc. correct, I need to get the SID history set
correctly as well.
From what I've researched so far, I'm aware of

Already did it, both plain dcdiag and dcdiag /test:DNS.
Nothing interesting in the output except for a warning at the end of
/test:dns execution (Warning: Failed to delete the test record
dcdiag-test-record in zone SAMDOM.LOCAL):

win2008r2 update on centos 6 host made system unbootable
Hi,
today we ran into a strange problem: When performing a regular Windows
2008r2 update apparently among other things the following was installed:
"SUSE - Storage Controller - SUSE Block Driver for Windows"
Previously the disk drive was using the Red Hat virtio drivers which
worked just fine but after the reboot after the update I just get a blue
screen indicating that Windows cannot
