Crash on opening mailbox
Hi! I'm currently experiencing a crash of dovecot 2.2.25 on Gentoo, upon opening mailbox. The crash only triggers on opening inbox, other mailboxes seem to work fine. It happens every time, and can be reproduced on request. I also briefly tried 2.2.19, and it behaves the same. The bug seems to be triggered by some mail, as I encountered it previously and fixed by removing some spam. I

Continuasly Compunded Returns with quantmod-data
Hey guys, i want to calculate the continuasly compounded returns for stock prices. Formula for CCR: R_t = ln(P_t/P_{t-1})*100 With R: First i have to modify the vectors, so that they have the same length and we start at the second observation. log(GOOG1[-1]/GOOG1[1:length(GOOG1)-1])*100 That does work with normal vectors. My Questions: 1) I want to use this for stock prices. so i

Differences between glmmPQL and lmer and AIC calculation
Dear R Community, I?m relatively new in the field of R and I hope someone of you can help me to solve my nerv-racking problem. For my Master thesis I collected some behavioral data of fish using acoustic telemetry. The aim of the study is to compare two different groups of fish (coded as 0 and 1 which should be the dependent variable) based on their swimming activity, habitat choice, etc.

Toggle cASE
Hello R-help list,   I am looking for way to toggle the case of the characters like a flip-flop; that is from ''Hello'' to "hELLO" or vice versa.   I know that there are a number of functions like casefold, tolower, toupper, etc. but these functions change the case in an uniform way.   Thanks in advance,   Antonio Rivero Ostoic         Antonio Rivero Ostoic PhD Student,

Error in building pdf manual with Rtools
Dear list, I am trying to produce a pdf manual using Rtools (version 3.1.0.1936) on Windows 8 (64-bit). I am also aware of the inconsolata issue posted in the forum (https://stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/r-devel/2013-June/066850.html), and then I have installed the patched version of R-3.0.1. However I still have some errors with the following message: R CMD Rd2pdf mypack Hmm ... looks like a package

[ANNOUNCE] xinput_calibrator 0.8.0
This is the first release of xinput_calibrator after the move from https://github.com/tias/xinput_calibrator to our gitlab instance. The aim of this move is so this little tool, still in use here and there, can see some of the benefits of group maintainership and doesn't go completely stale. Don't expect active maintainership or new features being added, we're just trying to keep this
