Tape Drive and Bacula issue
I posted this in the Bacula list without success so I hope I might have some luck here. Btape and mt can access my DDS-3 Seagate Archive Python 06480-xxx tape drive but Bacula tray-mon ends up finally stating that it cannot open device /dev/nst0? That is the device string that I use to access the drive, oddly enough it also suggest the SD could not open the one file based storage location I have

CentOS 6.6 Bacula-SELinux issue
I updated my backup server to CentOS 6.6 this morning. As usual, I unmounted the current (nightly) tape from the changer before the reboot. Now Bacula complains it cannot access the changer: 3301 Issuing autochanger "loaded? drive 0" command. 3991 Bad autochanger "loaded? drive 0" command: ERR=Child exited with code 1. External USB Drive partitioning, formatting and configuring Bacula server
Thanks for your help Sean, did all the steps you mentioned. One thing I don't understand, when partitions are created, why does Linux number it awkwardly? For example, I created 1 Primary partition of 10% disk, then created 1 Extended partition of 90% disk. Inside that extended partition, I created 3 logical partitions 33% each. It went numbering sdb1, sdb5, sdb6 and sdb7. Where's the hell

Bacula backup system
On c7 I can't find mod_perl. Configuring bacula client requires only few lines...with bacula you need only bacula pkgs and one database. With backuppc there are different services to install and configure...some external to centos base. In c7, without mod_perl I must run cgi with suid... Ok bacula is more complex (complexity I mean for its configuration) but It is better organized and less

simple problem, but not for me
Hello, I'm new in R and I want to do one thing that is very easy in excel, however, I cant do it in R. Suppose we have the data frame: data<- data.frame(A=c("a1","a2","a3","a4","a5")) I need to obtain another column in the same data frame (lets say B=c(b1,b2,b3,b4,b5) in the following way: b1=a1/(a1+a2+a3+a4+a5)

Bacula
We are presently looking into alternative backup strategies for our networked servers and are considering Bacula. Does anyone have any opinions on this application, good and bad, to share? Further, is there a CentOS4 specific rpm build available for this in a yum repository (I note that CentOS4 tags have been added to the Bacula source tree)? Regards, Jim -- *** e-mail is not a

retrieve machine password in current Samba?
We have a wireless network that uses 802.1x authentication, in which domain joined computers use their machine credentials to connect. Windows machines do this automatically, and until recently Linux computers could join using wicd, wpa-supplicant, and a simple script that would retrieve the machine password with tdbdump. ( specifically tdbdump -k SECRETS/MACHINE_PASSWORD/DOMAIN
