use keep state(strict) to mitigate tcp issues?
Hi, When deploying a BSD with IPF in at the network perimeter and using rules like these: pass in .. proto tcp ... keep state(strict) it's possible to refuse tcp packets which arrive out of order. This would increase the difficulty doing blind attack resets and blind data injection attack, cause then you'd have to "guess" the exact expected number. Checpoint has a similar

Worms Armageddon: cant open Worms Armageddon folder on fake ../drive_c/Team17/Worms Armageddon
Hi, this is my first attempt at using Wine. After installing wine I tried to install Worms Armageddon with wine e:/Install/install.exe at first I got a lot of.... fixme:ntdll:FILE_GetNtStatus Converting errno 38 to STATUS_UNSUCCESSFUL around 50 lines, then the installer appeared and I installed as on windows except to c:/Team17 rather than program files. I then went looking for the WA.exe file

Forcing Worms 4 To Use The Mouse Correctly
Just got Worms 4: Mayhem to work through wine, it runs beautifully except for one problem, the mouse does not loop around. As in, if I try to turn the camera and my mouse hits the side of the screen, I have to pause the game, re-orient the mouse to the other side, and unpause to look a full 360 degrees. Is there any way I can force it into an actual fullscreen mode rather than having the dock and

Status on fixes for MS04-11/MS04-12/KB828741 issues
I realise that a large number of sites have been bitten by the bad interaction between this hotfix, and Samba. I have finally managed to spend some time looking into this, and have reproduced it in my test environment. There appears to be an issue with the NTLMSSP layer used by windows clients to wrap password change requests. Fortunately, I have also shown that it is possible to construct a

Worms: Reloaded
I bought Worms Reloaded and I've been testing it on wine. Anyone else? So far: - Sound doesn't work at all - Playing fullscreen at native resolution makes Xorg mirror the first screen into the second (?!) - Multiplayer doesn't work, but might not be a wine issue. I get stuck at "Loading...". - Can't write some letters in lobby (for me: colon, semicolon, maybe some others)

symbolic linking to library files
I handle SysAdmin for a multi-user Linux box, with R 2.7.1 compiled and installed to make usee of ACML (Opteron chips). The library files (packages) are installed to /usr/local/lib64/R/library Everything works as it should, except for the following. Say I have a user (an R developer) who has developed a package called Blaster. We'll call the user guru. Now, /home/guru/Blaster, contains the

packaging my function
Dear all, I write to you because there seems to be something I'm just not 'getting' in the way R lets you construct a new package. Google and this mailing list's archive don't seem to have the answer to my specific case so I signed up and mailed the question myself. So I've written this function that I wan't to make a package out of. Here is what I've done so far:
