List of user installed packages
Hello, I am going to install the new version of R 2.14.1. After the installation, I want to copy my installed packages to the new library. But since over time I forgot which ones I installed I want to get a list of all the packages I installed among the packages installed initially by the R-installer. Is this possible? SPSS Statistics-R Integration Plug-In
Dear All, Has anyone tried to use this plug-in? Since I am running R-2.9.1 it will not even let me install it. Further, since I am running Windows I cannot use the R provided R-2.7.0 Linux installation file from the archive (tried to install it through cygwin and it was a mess). Suggestions? Ideas? Has anybody used this plug-in? Michael -- Michael Chajewski, M.A. Department of Psychology

Unwanted browse lists
Michel, One approach that hasn't been suggested is to block access to the netbios nameservice port on the samba host with a firewalling rule. That way the other computers on the subnet can't register themselves with nmbd. Suppose that your internal network is all within the 192.168.15.0/24 network. Each Windows workstation will automatically announce itself with a udp packet broadcast

Testing IMAP clients with Dovecot, problems with MacMail
I've been testing my user community's IMAP clients when I try to login and then transfer a big message from the inbox into a folder in an overquota folder directory. I am using native filesystem quotaing in AIXV5.3 with UWIMAP and comparing my results with what I see with Dovecot 1.0.0. Launching rsync daemon via launchd on Mac OS X 10.4 Tiger
Hi, I have recently upgraded to Tiger and needed a way to launch the rsync daemon on system-startup. Tiger includes the launchd which is responsible for launching daemons. I have made my config file available to download for anybody who is interested in doing the same: http://www.designsolution.co.uk/resources/rsync/ Perhaps this may be added to the resources section of the rsync site?

PE and VMWare Question
I am working toward pitching a move from Open Source Puppet to Puppet Enterprise. One of the driving points is that Where-I-Work has just made a huge investment in hardware/software in the form of a VMWare "local cloud". In trying to figure out how to plug my current Puppet setup into it, I keep hitting references to middleware tools like "vSphere CLI for Linux" and
