Per a discussion with an Internet2 professor this PM:
ACHTUNG: Note the repo is apparently without SRPMs so it becomes
difficult to vet.
Further, no mirrors have been spotted, which is not to say there

Jamulus for Centos
Is anyone running their own Jamulus server?
I have an x86_64 system running Centos7 that I can try bringing it up
for my wife.? So I better get it right!
I have found rpms for 3.4.7.1 at:
https://pkgs.org/download/Jamulus
But on SourceForge I am seeing source for ver 3.5.10.? In blogs I am
seeing that the better client is for at least ver 3.5.1.
Are there rpms available for some 3.5

R package BibTex entries: looking for a more general solution
Back in 2010 I raised this issue, and there was some discussion,
https://stat.ethz.ch/pipermail/r-devel/2010-November/058987.html
The goal, then, as now is to have a way to produce a bibtex-clean .bib
file (i.e., not requiring
manual editing except in unusual circumstances) reflecting installed
packages
for use in writing where one often needs/wants to cite all packages used

BIND DLZ zone transfers
I am looking at: https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/DNS_administration
I am using bind 9.9 on all my DNS servers.
To set up secondarying my Samba DNS zones to my other Bind servers. I
come across the following:
https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=9634
Is it possible to transfer the DLZ zones now as dates on this bug are 2
years old?

Maybe working - Re: BIND DLZ zone transfers
Hi Robert,
yes it does work. But the DLZ bind will not notify any slaves, when the
repository changes. This can be painful, especially for longer TTL values.
Regards,
- lars.

samba_dlz: Failed to connect
Progress on dns_dlz. At least I got things loading. If I don't include
the dlz info bind starts, but if I do I get:
Sep 03 13:31:57 homebase.home.htt named[21920]: Loading 'AD DNS Zone'
using driver dlopen
Sep 03 13:31:58 homebase.home.htt named[21920]: samba_dlz: Failed to
connect to /var/lib/samba/private/dns/sam.ldb
permissions seem right:

Subject: Milestone: 10000 packages on CRAN
Continuing the tradition to post millennia milestones on CRAN:
So, it happened. Today (January 27, 2017 PCT) CRAN reached 10,000 packages [1].
Needless to say, the rate with which new packages are added to CRAN
keeps increasing and so does the number of contributors (maintainers).
Somewhere out there, there are ~3 persons who are about to submit
their first packages to CRAN today and ~3 persons

bind zone files graphical management tool
On a server that does not have a gui, only command line.
In the past I have used webmin, and was happy with it, but it is more
than I really need.
I COULD rsync the files to my notebook and maintain them there. Probably
should just for backup!
But is there anything else that is 'safe' to use. vi gets tiring after
a while.
