[PATCH 0/2] libopusfile int64 overflows
Just an attempt to avoid overflows with an explicit check, I don't know if there's a better way to identify corrupt input here. pdb missing files?
Hello, I''m trying to get PDB working in accordance with the instructions at http://www.cl.cam.ac.uk/~sos22/replay.bk/docs/misc/XenDebugger-HOWTO and a message from this list: http://lists.xensource.com/archives/html/xen-devel/2004-08/msg00017.html When I try to build pdb I first get errors because the Makefile is configured to treat warnings as errors, and there are some warnings.

why are warning be treated as errors?
Hello, I am trying to compile RHEL-6 kernel srpm on Fedora 14 and run into the following problem. From what I read -Werror flag causes warnings to be treated as errors - but I don't see that flag on in the following. Any ideas? gcc -Wp,-MD,arch/x86/kernel/acpi/realmode/.wakemain.o.d -nostdinc -isystem /usr/lib/gcc/i686-redhat-linux/4.5.1/include -nostdinc -isystem

optimization remarks
Hi, I am trying to compare the loop vectorizers effectiveness for different targets relative to each other. That way, I am hoping to find loops that are not vectorized - but could be - on my target by finding other targets doing this successfully. With some luck, there might be something in the Target files that could be fixed with improved vectorization as a result... I would like to do

retpoline mitigation and 6.0
I think I see what's going on, and I agree it looks like a bug. It was too much to hope that later passes weren't going to mess with the PUSH instruction. :( While I was trying to reproduce your problem, I think I found another one that looks like this: $ clang -S -O2 -m32 -mregparm=3 -mretpoline spill_across_rp.cpp -o - | grep _retpoline_push -B2 ... movl %eax, 8(%esp)

[LLVMdev] -march and -mtune options on x86
Let me describe more precisely what I am doing and why the results I got may help improve LLVM's performance on modern x86-64 processors regardless of the front end (GCC, Clang or DragonEgg). I am running ALL my tests on an Intel Xeon E5540 processor, which is an x86-64 Nehalem processor. The OS is a 64-bit version of Ubuntu. So, I am running all my tests on the same x86-64 machine and am

gcc -m32 on a x86_64 box
Gents, I am trying to do a "gcc -m32" on a x86_64 box. gcc -m32 /tmp/jj.c /usr/bin/ld: crt1.o: No such file: No such file or directory collect2: ld returned 1 exit status This is the error I get. I did a "yum install glib.i386" successfully. there is no "yum install glib-devel.i386". How can i get a "gcc -m32" compile on my x86_64? THanks, Jerry

Help with installing add-on packages
Dear R users. Recently I wanted to update my R distribution to the current one (R-2.7.1). I am running a Fedora core 8 distirbution. The installation went fine, but when I tried to add some additional packages the majority made an exit with an error. Only a few least demanding (e.g. RColorBrewer) managed to get through the installation process. What happened between the versions 2.6.x and 2.7.x

Problem installing packages in newer versions of R
Dear all, I was wandering what could be wrong with my system (regularly updated Fedora core 8) so that installing packages does not succeed with almost every package. I follow the procedure specified in the help file R-admin section 6.3. This is not a feature new to the current version but happened (to me) in the previous version as well. Additionally R-help html pages try to follow wrong links
