Best Ferrups (bestfcom patch)
Hello,
I have a Best Ferrups 3.1KVA and I noticed that the percent battery voltage reported from upsc never gets above 69.9%. I believe there is a mistake in the driver. The battery percentage is calculated based on the High Battery Alarm Setpoint (59.6V) instead of the Ideal Voltage which is about 54V (4 batteries x 13.6V). I examined the source code and found that the variable fc.fullvolts is

Order of tests matters???
I have a problem with tests. I always thought that the order of tests doesn''t
matter because the fixtures are reloaded before every test method. However, I''ve
just discovered that this isn''t true.
This is a quote from the "Guide to testing the rails" howto:
"... if we had another test method, we wouldn’t have 10 users on the 2nd test

functional tests, assert_tag and tables
I''ve run into another functional testing issue. Odds are I''m taking the
wrong approach, so I''m back to this list again in the hopes of finding
the true path.
with assert_tag, I''d like to check the values of various table cells and
ensure that the proper values are placed in the appropriate places. I
written some tests that make good sense to me, and in

upssched
Hello,
(Saddened for my bad English)
I have just created a script to install NUT
I manage the events with UPSSCHED and I would like to know how to launch
this command via /etc/nut/upssched-cmd every 5 minutes to verify the
level of battery of the UPS and decide on the action to be run.
Is there an option in the configuration which I was able to forget?
Other question : there is another command

Timer Daemon doesn't start
Hey,
I have the problem that my timer daemon doesn't start. I checked my configuration more than two times and I don't find the failure. Maybe someone can help me and tell me where the failure could be.

using get() in assign()
I'm trying to rename the columns in a list of data.frames using the
following...
for(i in 1:length(filenames)) {
assign(names(get(filenames[i])), c("name", "infood", "time") ) }
R returns no errors, but the names are unchanged in the data.frames.
The original names were things like

Having little problems with 3.3
Hello all,
I just installed 3.3. All three disk download ok and when I ran the test on them, all three passed so I thought that the install would go fine and it did.
However after using it for about 5 min I have noticed two things. OO does not install by default. When I did a reinstall I noticed that there is not option to even select it. Maybe there is something wrong with my disks, I

read.table from a list of filenames
I am wondering if it is possible to read.table repeatedly from a list
of file names into a new list of table names.
For example:
filenames <- list.files()
then with a function like
rf <- function(i) {
word??(filename[i]) <- read.table(filenames[i]) }
I can't seem to find a function like word?? that will be the object of
another operation. If this worked, then I could repeat

NUT 2.6.3, openSUSE 12.2 : UPS unit not switched off
Dear List, I'm trying to perform an automatic server shutdown and restart
with NUT 2.6.3, openSUSE 12.2 and an Eaton Eco 1600. The server shutdown
works but there is no automatic restart when wall power returns. Unlike
successful tests with earlier versions of openSUSE, the UPS unit is never
switched off. It goes on beeping for as long as I let it.
When I pulled the plug from the wall

Prefered Method for UPS?
Hello,
since I had delayed the programming of the UPS Device part, now it is
time to continue...
My Device is "24 V DC modular ATX PSU" which replace the standard ATX
Power Supply in PCs and use 15-43 V Input Voltage. The microcontroller
is a TI LM3S5T36 Cortex M3 and I get the "UPS" infos using up to 4 Maxim
DS1780 and some I?C current sensors. The ATX PSU has 4

ZFS Appliance as a general-purpose server question
A customer is looking to replace or augment their Sun Thumper
with a ZFS appliance like 7320. However, the Thumper was used
not only as a protocol storage server (home dirs, files, backups
over NFS/CIFS/Rsync), but also as a general-purpose server with
unpredictably-big-data programs running directly on it (such as
corporate databases, Alfresco for intellectual document storage,
etc.) in order to

RedHat Enterprise Linux 3AS with kernel 2.4.21-4.EL.
The Diva server is running in version 7.5
Can someone help us in reolving the errors with incoming calls?
When we try to call to an extension we get these messages in the CLI:

averaging within columns
I have a dataframe with names in the first column and wait times
between decisions in the second column. Since individuals make
multiple decisions, I want the average for each individual. For
example, the data might look like this
name wtime

jo 2
jo 1
jo 3
tim 3
tim 2
tim 2
ro 1
ro 2
etc.
I'm hoping there is something like
mean(dataname$wtime[name])
which will just
