wiki contribution
Hi,
I wanted to add a few notes in the wiki on the fastestmirror plugin on how
you can add exclude info in the fastestmirror.conf file.
This became important because amazingly ucalgary.ca shows up as a
fastestmirror for servers I have in both Nevada and New York. However, the
mirror is horribly slow for actual downloads and frequently times out.
So, I just want to add info on how to add the

Wiki contribution
Hi guys,
I want to update and add some content to this page:
http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/PackageManagement/Spacewalk
The page have instructions for Spacewalk 0.6, but there's a newer
version (0.7) and some changes are needed. I already updated my
spacewalk install and would like to contribute with the wiki page.
More information about spacewalk can be found here:

BenHosmer's node.js proposal; was: Wiki Contribution Request
I just subscribed to the list yesterday, but haven't received any digest
notifications yet. I am replying here because I saw the updates on the web
archive.
My idea is a more gentler overview of building RPMs that just happened to
use nodejs as an example.
I found a lot of the RPM building documentation to be a little hard to
digest and scattered around a bit.
I did use the fedora guide and

Spacewalk howto for CentOS 5
Hi,
I would like to contribute a howto page about the configuration of
Spacewalk for package management under CentOS 5. Spacewalk is the
upstream project for the source of RedHat Network Satellite. It provides
a management interface for software updates across registered servers
and desktops.
Here is were I would like to put this page:

Clarification in HowTos/MigrationGuide page
Hi,
A little more of clarification :) ... In some wiki pages say that the
protectbase and priorities yum plugins can not be used together. It
seems that the next paragraph must be updated:
====>
Always beware when using/mixing 3rd-party repos. The yum protectbase
and/or priorities plugins are your friends. Although both can be used
together, using protectbase is probably unnecessary if

Contribute to wiki
Good afternoon,
My username is GrahamWilliamson
I would like to have access to the CentOS wiki. I want to create and
add some initial content to the VoIP SIG.
http://wiki.centos.org/SpecialInterestGroup has a link to
http://wiki.centos.org/SpecialInterestGroup/Voip however I feel the VoIP
SIG page should actually be
http://wiki.centos.org/SpecialInterestGroup/VoIP.
Also, I'd like to update

centos wiki strangeness.
In preparing to answer a question about some yum undesired behavior, I wanted to reference fastest mirror info, but when I went to
https://wiki.centos.org/PackageManagement/Yum/FastestMirror
I find all the text has been squished to the right hand side of the page and made 1 word wide all the way down.
The https://wiki.centos.org/FrontPage looks similar but perhaps it is a little better?

Using CentOS repos in a RHEL machine
Hi
I have 2 machines with RHEL 5.2 and I would like to use CentOS repos. I
would like to know if the document "Using CentOS Repositories on RHEL
Machines"[1] can be used in CentOS 5.2 without too much modifications.
Thanks

CentOS-5.3 yum-priorites
I visited http://wiki.centos.org/PackageManagement/Yum/Priorities
which tells me to install the package yum-priorities available from
extras. I try this and it fails.

how to protect RT repository?
I'm following the instructions on this URL
http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/RT_3.4.x_On_CentOS_4.x
and came across the part that said
"WARNING: RT overwrites some packages from the base distribution,
especially mod_perl"
How exactly do I "protect" the RT repository?
It links to the "ProtectBase" program

Hosmer- Lemeshow test
Dear R - help,
I am working on the Credit scorecard model. I am using the Logistic regression to arrive at the regression coefficients model.
I want to use the Hosmer - Lemeshow test .
In order to understand the use of R - language, I had referred the following URL
http://www.stat.sc.edu/~hitchcock/diseaseoutbreakRexample704.txt
The related data 'diseaseoutbreak' is available

What's wrong with yum-priorities?
"The upstream maintainer of yum, Seth Vidal, had the following to say
about 'yum priorities' in September 2009:
Gosh, I hope people do not set up yum priorities. There are so many things
about priorities that make me cringe all over. It could just be that it
reminds me of apt 'pinning' and that makes me want to hurl."

Hosmer-Lemeshow 'goodness of fit'
I'm trying to do a Hosmer-Lemeshow 'goodness of fit' test on my logistic
regression model.
I found some code here:
http://sas-and-r.blogspot.com/2010/09/example-87-hosmer-and-lemeshow-goodness.html
The R code is above is a little complicated for me but I'm having trouble
with my answer:
Hosmer-Lemeshow: p=0.6163585

recommended way to install source rpms?
yes, i've read the online docs and followed a link or two to find a
simple way to do this, such as:
http://sourceware.org/systemtap/wiki/SystemTapOnCentOS
so, these days, is that the canonical way to download source rpms?
now, note that i'm not arguing about whether this is a good idea. in
my circumstances, i want the ability to just "yum download" source
rpms so that i can
