Subsetting data by eliminating redundant variables
Dear All,
I am new to R, I have one question which might be easy.
I have a large data with more than 250 variable, i am reducing number of
variables by redun function as in the example below,
n <- 100
x1 <- runif(n)
x2 <- runif(n)
x3 <- x1 + x2 + runif(n)/10
x4 <- x1 + x2 + x3 + runif(n)/10
x5 <- factor(sample(c('a','b','c'),n,replace=TRUE))

Data frame manipulation by eliminating rows containing extreme values
Dear All,
I have got the limits for removing extreme values for each variables using
following function .

Capping outliers
Hi Experts,
I am new to R, using following sample code for capping outliers using
percentile information. Working on large data (30000 observations and 150
variables), loop I am using in the below mentioned code for detecting
outliers and capping to upper /lower percentile value is taking much time
for the execution.
Is there anything wrong with code, can anyone suggest improvement in the
script

Yes in the sense that the simplified formula given by terms() is the same.

"variable lengths differ (found for '(weights)')" error in Zelig library
Dear R users,
I am trying to estimate to estimate the average treatmen effect on the
treated (ATT) using first the MatchIt software to weight the data set and,
after this, the Zelig software as shown in Ho et al. (2007). See here for an
explanation of how to apply this technique in R:

I encounter a slight problem when I apply the weights that

I am trying to use R for propensity score matching in SPSS.? I have version 21 of SPSS and I downloaded R 2.14.2 as directed as well as the R Essentials plug-in.? I have run a test for R and it appears to be running correctly.? I then downloaded psmatching3 and have tried to use the PS matching dialog in SPSS.? Method for selection bias with multinomial treatment
I have to the treatment effect base on the observational data.And the
treatment variable is multinomial rather than binary.Because the
treatment assignment is not random,so the selection-bias exists.Under
this condition,what's the best way to estimate the treatment effect?
I know that if the treatment is binary,I can use propensity score
matching using MatchIt package.But what about

Retaining MatchIt output as a dataset
Hi!
I am running a simulation testing group balance using different propensity score matching techniques. I am using the MatchIt package to match and analyze the data. Since I am running this analysis many, many times with different simulated data sets, I need to make the output from the MatchIt summary and put it into a dataset and then append each successive run to the end of that dataset.

R2BayesX help
Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help me with this issue. I am using R2BayesX. It
seems that the model can maximally contain 20 interactions. When the number
of interaction terms exceed 20, the code stops working. Here is a piece of
toy code.

Specifying Path Model in SEM for CFA
I'm using specify.model for the sem package. I can't figure out how to
represent the residual errors for the observed variables for a CFA
model. (Once I get this working I need to add some further constraints.)
Here is what I've tried:
model.sa <- specify.model()
F1 -> X1,l11, NA
F1 -> X2,l21, NA
F1 -> X3,l31, NA
F1 -> X4,l41, NA
F1 -> X5, NA, 0.20

Is this a bug in cv.lm(DAAG) ?
Dear R-list,
I'm not sure what I've found about a function in DAAG package is a bug.
When I was using cv.lm(DAAG) , I found there might be something wrong with
it. The problem is that we can't use it to deal with a linear model with
more than one predictor variable. But the usage documentation
hasn't informed us about this.
The code illustrates my discovery:
