Samba users spreading spam (or automated replies)
Hi
Some of the samba users are spreading spam or automated replies. Is
there any possible way to stop them?
I've got the following two messages after my first post which are
either spam or automated nonsense replies:

Averaging dates?
Hi,
What's the best way to average dates?
I though mean.POISXct would work fine but...

Working with temporal data
Hi,
I have several files with data in this format:
20070102
20070102
20070106
20070201
...
The data is sorted and each line represents a date (YYYYMMDD). I would
like to analyze this data using R. For instance, I would like to have
a histogram by year, month or day.
I've already made a simple Perl script that aggregates this data but I
believe that R can be much more powerful and easy on

Manipulating matrices
Hi,
I'm pretty new to R and I've been having some problems filtering data
in matrices.
I have the following initial dataset:
|| year | name | varA ||
I have multiple values for "varA" for the same "year" and the same "name".
Having this as the input I would like to obtain the following:
|| year | name | {varA mean} ||
Where I only have one line for each

Remove Win2008R2 from Domain, remove missing DC from domain
Hi!
I'm almost done with a migration from Win2k to Samba4. To get this
going I had to install a Win2008R2 Server as an intermediate server,
now I want to get rid of it.
I found a bug that Win2008R2 can not be demoted from Samba Domain - so
I think I've to remove it somehow else.
But I couldn't find anything about that in the docs and on google.
So anyone out there with a

Working with temporal data [Solved]
Just for the record, here are my steps for producing a date based histogram.
Data is stored in a file where each line only has a date - 2007/02/16
>d<-readLines("filename.dat")
>d<-as.Date(d, format="%Y/%m/%d")
>pdf(yearly.pdf)
>hist(d, "years")

Instead of "years" you can also use "days", "weeks",

Uidnumbers strange behaviour on DC
Dear all,
I have a problem with our samba installation and really need your input
since I'm running out of ideas.
Short story:
UidNumbers on a DC have a strange behaviour
Longer Story:
1) Self compiled samba ad-dc now on V4.8.5 (recently and painlessly
upgraded from 4.6.14) +bind9 +dhcp on debian stretch mostly managed through
RSAT
2) 2 DC's + 3 linux (debian/ubuntu) +20ish win10 clients

Quantile Regression and Goodness of Fit
All -
Does anyone know if there is a method to calculate a goodness-of-fit
statistic for quantile regressions with package quantreg?
Specifically, I'm wondering if anyone has implemented the
goodness-of-fit process developed by Koenker and Machado (1999) for R?
Though I have used package quantreg in the past, I may have overlooked
this function, if it is included.
