MICE for Cox model
R-helpers: I have a dataset that has 168 subjects and 12 variables. Some of the variables have missing data and I want to use the multiple imputation capabilities of the "mice" package to address the missing data. Given that mice only supports linear models and generalized linear models (via the lm.mids and glm.mids functions) and that I need to fit Cox models, I followed the previous

Threshold Quantile Regression code CRASHES in R
I am working on a two stage threshold quantile regression model in R, and my aim is to estimate the threshold of the reduced-form equation (call it rhohat), and the threshold of the structural equation (call it qhat), in two stages. On the first stage, i estimate rhohat by quantile regression and obtain the fitted values. I use these fitted values to estimate qhat on the second stage. The code is

Mac v Windows Mystery
Dear All, I'm trying to track down a problem with my quantreg package reported by a user doing censored quantile regression. When he runs the test4.R file attached below (which reads the csv file also attached) on his windows machine he gets an error like this: > Error in dimnames(B) <- list(c("tau", dimnames(x)[[2]], "Qhat"), NULL) : > length of

how to ignore rows missing arguments of a function when creating a function?
Hi, I am relatively new to R; when creating functions, I run into problems with missing values. I would like my functions to ignore rows with missing values for arguments of my function) in the analysis (as for example is the case in STATA). Note that I don't want my function to drop rows if there are missing arguments elsewhere in a row, ie for variables that are not arguments of my

reshape -> reshape 2: function cast changed?
Hi, I used to use reshape and moved to reshape2 (R 2.15.1). Now I tried some of my older scripts and was surprised that my cast function wasn't working like before. What I did/want to do: 1) Melt a dataframe based on a vector specifying column names as measure.vars. Thats working so far: dfm <- melt(df, measure.vars=n, variable_name = "species", na.rm = FALSE) 2) Recast the

barplot and pca plot in mvpart/rpart
Hello, I'm using the R package called mvpart, which is about the multivariate regression trees. The function I wrote is: mrt1<- mvpart(coefmat~sChip+sScreen+sMem,data=mixdata, xv="pick", plot.add=TRUE,uniform=TRUE,which=4,all=TRUE,xadj=2,yadj=2,rsq=TRUE,big.pts=TRUE,wgt.ave.pca=TRUE,legend=TRUE,bars=F, pca=TRUE) where "coefmat" is a matrix(of dimension N*K) to store

How do I loop through strings?
I read in a CSV file with Data <- read.csv(file="FileName.csv",head=TRUE,sep=",") the file containts strings in the 2nd and 3rd columns and each has about 1000 rows. I need to either loop through the strings there looking for strings that would trigger other logic or remove those rows and put them in another array and loop through them in the new array. I can't seem

single assignment affecting multiple sub-structures (PR#7924)
I'm trying to create a language structure that is a call to a function with a number of arguments that is only known at run time. I do this by using repeated indices to expand out a call with a single argument. However, when I change one of the arguments, all are changed. I don't see the same behavior when I initially create a call with multiple arguments. Even more strangely,

[LLVMdev] How do I find all memory allocations in an llvm ir code file?
I tried to compile this snippet of C++ code: void FuncTest() {     int* a = new int;     int* b = new int[2]; } using: clang test.cpp -S -emit-llvm -o - > test.llvm and obtained this: define void @_Z8FuncTestv() { entry:   %a = alloca i32*, align 4   %b = alloca i32*, align 4   %call = call noalias i8* @_Znwj(i32 4)   %0 = bitcast i8* %call to i32*   store i32* %0, i32** %a, align 4

[LLVMdev] How to detect all free() calls
Thanks. isFreeCall() works well but for %call2 = call i32 bitcast (i32 (...)* @free to i32 (i8*)*)(i8* %call1) nounwind, !dbg !16 So I tried to figure out when the above instruction occurred. When <stdlib.h> is included, free(buf2R1); turn into call void @free(i8* %call1) nounwind, !dbg !16 when I forget to include <stdlib.h>, free(buf2R1); turn into %call2 = call i32 bitcast (i32

[LLVMdev] How to detect all free() calls
if you don't include stdlib.h, where free() is declared, you'll simply get a default C function signature: int free(...); On Mon, Mar 11, 2013 at 1:56 AM, Jane <270611649 at qq.com> wrote: > Thanks. isFreeCall() works well but for > %call2 = call i32 bitcast (i32 (...)* @free to i32 (i8*)*)(i8* %call1) > nounwind, !dbg !16 > So I tried to figure out when the above

suggested changes to summary.glm and summary.lm (PR#2776)
Something for the wish list (not really a bug): I was reminded of what I see as a problem with summary.glm last week when some of my students fell into a trap in a homework exercise, defining a logit model in which coefficients were aliased. When this happens in lm, summary.lm prints a message ["Coefficients: (1 not defined because of singularities)"], but summary.glm is silent. In

reshape dataframe to array (pivot table)
Hello, I would like to reshape a dataframe into an array. This is kind a similar task as Excel performs with a Pivot table. To illustrate it: LOC <- factor(c(1,2,2,3,1,1)) SPEC1 <- c(0,0,23,0,12,11) SPEC2 <- c(1,2,0,0,0,4) df <- data.frame(LOC,SPEC1,SPEC2) # original dataframe a <-

Priority between calls from different queues
Hi! I want to know the way that calls are answer in this case... I have queue1 and queue2, one agent that receive call from both queues. queue1 <- call1 queue1 <- call2 queue2 <- call3 queue2 <- call4 In my test the agent answer calls in this order: call1,call3,call2 and call4. I think this must be in this order call1,call2, call3, call4 like a big FIFO. Its ok this behavior? Could

Multiple Ajax.Request or Ajax.Updater
I''m having a problem with multiple Ajax.Updater instances. I have five small chunks of data being loaded into my homepage, and they seem to be firing off one at a time. So the pieces load up in the order they were called. Maybe I''m being a noob, but shouldn''t all those requests just fire away and then place the content as it gets received? I was doing multiple versions,
